It’s a farce we’re still in it. But we definitely are
Turgid brand of football doesn’t help to galvanize any enthusiasm and passion which has fuck all too do with the stadiumFrankly, with the acoustics in the stadium being the incredible feat of engineering they are, even a core of 10k fans willing to sing and make noise spread around the ground should easily make up for 50k tourists and more casual fans.
Just face it, Spurs fans far too rarely made old WHL a fortress, let alone the new ground. The atmosphere was often good when Jol was boss, patchy under Redknapp, and good again the last two WHL seasons with Poch, but the crowd has always been too quick to go completely passive. You can't just blame ticket prices for that.
Need to start playing a lot better, and consistently.
Do that and its infinitely achievable.
Problem is we're miles away from looking like a good team at the moment.
Fans of other clubs, not so much in England but across the continent/world, make almighty rackets no matter how the team is performing.Turgid brand of football doesn’t help to galvanize any enthusiasm and passion which has fuck all too do with the stadium
I was at home and I didn't budge an inch when we scored either goal. We are incredibly average at the moment and it's painful to see. That's why there's no atmosphere in the ground.
As to the top four race, I agree its madness that we're still in it, but at the same time it's not. Apart from Liverpool, who are ridiculous this season, everyone else is average to shit, for various reasons. We really do not deserve to be in the CL next season the way we're playing, but if we sign a couple of players before the end of the transfer window, I suspect we could end up there.
If we don't, as things stand, despite the relatively small deficit to Chelsea, there's no chance of us pinching 4th.
Well it's the chicken and the egg scenario isn't it? The reason I give us no chance is exactly because they're fucking about. A lot of them know a squad overhaul is imminent, therefore they're just lurking around.I just have to disagree with the notion that there is 'no chance'. In fact, the way people just want to write our season off by saying things like that is giving our players a free pass to swan around and do whatever they want for the rest of the season.
There is every chance and its a case of who can get their shit together and make it happen.
Lo Celso showed last night how to step it up a gear - now we need 3 or 4 others to follow suit.

It's a mix. We have good players that are playing poorly, but we also have some very average players too. Our full backs at present are bang average, despite the odd OK performance from Aurier. Our central midfield is in tatters, with no DM to hold things together, meaning teams can literally just walk through us. We also have no striker at the moment. Add to that our ageing CBs.Yeah, I hear you. But that the thing for me. There is a chance, we aren't just unfortunately worse than other teams than Norwich, we are just playing like shit
Yeah they play nice football, but they've got the same points as us and we're awful and in transition which says it all. Lloris is back, Davies back soon, lo celso improving every game, Aurier much improved, and tanganga like a new signing. If we can get ndombele match fit, sign a striker and a DM in this window we will have every chance of top 4.So jealous of Wolves playing like that. Really shows up how far we’ve fallen off. Both lost by 1 to Liverpool but couldn’t be more different in approach, confidence and quality. Makes you remember what enjoying watching us play was like. Seems like an age ago
