Any other team and I'd agree but I know a lot of Liverpool fans, many of whom would be unbearable if they won the league. The type of people who message, or call to gloat when they beat us but start crying if you do the same! Poor losers.

It is such a pain in the arse we will lose Son in Jan for the Asian tournament. It's a joke that he's played WC, that other Asian tournament in September, and now this one. He's bang in form and losing him will be a real blow. Lucky we have Kane, Dele, Eriksen, Moura and Lamela.

I think we should be able to handle those matches during his absence. We’re lucky that he will be available for the league games against the big boys.

If (and it's a tough ask for the squad) we can come out of the next games against Bournemouth (H), Wolves (H) and Cardiff (A) with 9 points, I really think we will be in the mix for the title.

However my pessimistic/pragmatic mind tells me that our squad just isn't high enough quality as Liverpool and City's to cope with the CL, Carabao and FA Cups as well as a tilt at the Premier League. But the squad and Mauricio Pochettino have consistently surprised me for 3 consecutive seasons by massively overachieving so you just never know.

We really are an incredible team.

Stuck a lump on Liverpool at 4/7 when I saw Arsenal injury list they’ve got about 7 or 8 out. Won’t be able to rotate for Brighton. I suspect Liverpool will wipe the floor with them.

Most of these title races come down to how you get on v your closest challengers

So far we've lost at home to both City & Liverpool. Where we finish will probably come down to how we get on at Anfield and The Etihad

The season Leicester won the title they beat us at WHL. At the time we thought "oh well Leicester cant win the league so it's not that bad" Little did we know how vital not losing that game was

Whilst we shouldn't have lost, if you have us those 3 points we'd still only be 1 point ahead of City sat in 2nd

If you swapped our losses against City and Liverpool we'd be level on points with Liverpool and 4 clear of City. Head to head is so often where titles are won and lost.
