Was a better performance as a team, and looked pretty solid for most of the game.

Standouts for me:

Reggie - constantly running down the left, which created space and time for Son. Great tenacity for the second goal when he was second favourite to win that ball.

Lo Celso - controlled the tempo from midfield. Was getting on the ball a lot more and always looking forward.

Dele - some lovely touches, battled to win the ball back, and stopped trying first time flicks. Good link up with Kane. If he continues to work hard and knuckle down he could return to the heights of 2-3 seasons ago.

Kane - good to see him battling again and winning a few headers. Great finish and unlucky to hit the post, and a great save from Patricio.

MOTM - PEH. Was tenacious in midfield, used the ball well (great assist to Kane) and took the second goal well following in Bales shot. Looked more like the man we seen at the start of the season.

Good win, good subs from Mason, hope it continues to end of season.

Super hard to assess the players when the opponent is not pressing us as will be the case most Prem matches next season . On the beach Wolves along with Sheff Utd make us look good...Leeds on the other hand still playing normally, clobbered us .People just assessing our performance will completely miss this harsh reality.

Saint Son (4) (he who can never be criticised or subbed) continues to avoid any attacking moves, even when there's space in front of him he'll pass backwards . The poor souls who struggle to get the ball to him in an attacking position only to see him pass back must be so frustrated .
His lousiness (months now) would be ok if he wasn't above being benched or subbed , but no, sainthood trumps the evidence of our eyes .
A classic example of a player not needing to try to get a first team place and taking full advantage .

If Leicester need points in our last game , then we can see how well our team is developing .

I think for me it was the right team and subs for the occasion, wolves are not the team they were.

I thought quite a few players made progress today. GLC seems to be finding his position and he was key linking the play quickly and getting more involved.

Dele was playing with a smile on his face and was good today.

Tanganga was solid and if we play reguillon I would prefer him to play even though serge has been ok this season.

PEH was PEH with a goal and an excellent assist.

Kane was more energetic in his overall play as well as being a threat.

The only downside was reguillon and son, reguillon attacking was good but he left dier a bit exposed a few times against traore. Son didn't really affect the game.

Against better opposition I'd like ndombele or winks play instead of son or Dele.

Bale was very good today, I thought semedo actually did well against him, but by bale being on the ball so much and being a threat it meant semedo couldn't get past the half way line.

Saying all that I thought wolves were poor, they really didn't look to press our defenders and tried to clog the midfield, which may have worked against a José side but with GLC, bale and Dele in there it played into our hands a bit.

Please could someone define how ratings out of 10 are graded. Is a 5 an average performance? Just before the thread fills up with lots of 7s 8s and 9s for an OK team performance.
I think the official rating for par is a 6
(but dont ask me why just seen it stated before)

When you are starved for a good performance, even the tiniest morsel tastes like a 5-star meal.

7s except

Dier 6
PEH 7.8
Son 6
Kane 7.6

but it's all subjective e.g. Poster spazboxxxx might give Kane a 7.9

... thats why we lose more often than we win ...
How does one take a post like this seriously? How does one take a fan like this seriously?

Overall: won 33, drew 9, lost 15. 58% win percentage, 26% loss percentage.

League: won 17, drew 8, lost 11. 47% win percentage, 31% loss percentage.

Cups: won 16, drew 1, lost 4. 76% win percentage, 19% loss percentage.

Overall, we win more than twice as often as we lose. In the league, we win 50% more often than we lose.

It is useful to stay in the realm of reality when trying to make a point. Exaggeration is one thing,. Delusion is another.

No standout performer for me Hojberg, Bale, Kane, Tanganga and Lo Celso were good. Dele had some flashes along with some frustration, and to be fair Dier actually played a solid game

Great start to the second half where we could’ve got 3 or 4, Winks came on and the game petered out from there. Mason’s subs baffled me

Winks was brought on to see the game out without fluffing our lines. Why the need to single him out and have a pop?

I'm glad someone else is critical of Son.
I've been saying for 6 months that he doesn't do a lot for our attacking game except score and unmissable assists.
Some will argue that he is there to score, and is as good at doing so as anyone.
However if you sit and watch a game without rose tinted glasses you will see whenever the ball comes to his feet he slows the game down and rarely passes forward, it's always side and back.
Numerous times players have made a run in behind and he does not play the pass.
It's almost like the kid in school who wants to score all the goals so passes backwards so he can have the ball passed back to him so he can score

Went for Dele, he is looking much better.
Genuine question to yourself and others. Is it possible (objectively) that you want him to do well and therefore view his performance less critically than you would others??
I did it for a long time with Winks, before I realised I wasn't being as critical in viewing his performance as I was with other players.
Dele played ok, I don't think it was better than ok. Some good, some bad

He did more than ok. He was back hassling an defending, he was forward doing that delicious nutmeg pass type thing, he pressed and popped at in the right places at the right time. He wasn't far off being MotM and but for fine margins he would have a goal and 2 assists.

If you want him or anyone else to create, you have to accept that not everything is going to come off.

At the moment the bar is low with us, so any win gets players 8s and 9s. But we are still just winging it till the end of the season.

sure we all have biases. is it possible you expect Dele to be poor. and therefore judge him more harshly?
