Defoe starting again? For FUCK sake! Even more annoyed about Gallas but was expecting that one. Caulker really should be ahead of him at this point.

At least Sandro is starting ahead of Livermore though. Was starting to get worried that maybe AVB preferred the latter.
You look a bit silly now dont you

bit annoyed with walker for not tacking back. should have had a clean sheet.

defoe, sandro, verts and naughton were stand outs for me. Think i would give MOM to sandro just for being so dominating, and also spraying some lovely balls.

hudd looks well rusty, but good to see him on the pitch.

great win, well done lads...

Fantastic entertainment, 4 great goals and we were deservedly on the right end of the result. Great performance and answer to the critics. Nice to see some classic Thudd passing again too, lovely moment when he mugged 3 players without touching the ball, lovely stuff.

Happy on many fronts
1) Happy for AVB - it may just muzzle those stupid tabloids.
2) Happy for Defoe - looks well up for it.
3) Happy for Brad - Coz he deserved to hold his place.
4) Happy that the new era has begun.
5) Unhappy to concede in the last 5 minutes again! (Not doing my fantasy team any good at all!)

- Crystal Balls - Watch Andros Townsend get a lot more game time this year as he slowly overtakes Lennon as AVB's favourite.

FWIW (For What It's Worth) - Still need to sort out what we're doing around the box, we only seem to score if we're doing something at pace. But a good day for The Spurs!

You said you would prefer he didn't score goals like that and instead would lay more passes off. I'm no clairvoyant but I only deal in hard facts and Defoe scored two, got man of the match (rightly so) and gave AVB his first win, which is massive. Now call me a fool but you would have preferred to have taken the risk of not getting that result in order for Defoe to pass instead of shot.

Right, excuse me whilst I politely disagree with your opinion.

Over the course of the season, is Defoe more likely to miss or score more of those? I'm being serious, which will he do more of?

Yes it was class, but imo he will miss more than score, so I would prefer him to make the run and slip in someone else to score, as over the course of a season that will lead to us scoring more and winning more games.

Thought Naughton was ok today. Disciplined and a nice passer. Wouldn't be too upset if he stayed in actually.

Agree although unhappy you abbreviated FWIW and then explained what it means (prob for the Defoe haters...just kidding).

"I don't know if he's currently in a rented property Villas-Boas, but I'd buy a house son. The prices are low, so buy it now. You don't have to worry about P45s."
