I wouldn't want Robben.
We'd have a chance yes but I'm sure somebody will be quicker with the big wages than us.

At a guess I'd say they're both too dear for our tastes. Wouldn't want Robben.

Shame though as Super Mario would score bucketloads in our side.

Just wondering what are people's reasons for not wanting Robben? Injuries? Personality?

Great abilty but he's one of the most, if not the most selfish players out there. He also can't be relied upon because he's injured half the season.

Mario Gomez is a better version of Darren Bent but I don't think he struggle finding a new club.

As much as Robben is a fantastic player wouldnt take him due to his massive wages and the fact he is even more greedy than Defoe.

Gomes yes would take him no problem would score goals for fun for us

Every time someone doesn't pass to him he moans, he'll go down if you breathe too heavily near him, and I counted three fights during his time at Bayern: A changing room bust up with Ribery at half time (over a freekick) which left him with a cut on his face

Throwing his toys out the pram against Lahm:

And worst of all, an outrageous hit on Müller

Not to mention he was moaning about not getting in the team all year saying he would leave, and now he's being sold anyway. A good player, but a selfish, injury prone, bad apple of a player.

Would take Gomez in a heartbeat though, but as others have said, his wages would be over 100k

robben is a selfish, injury prone money grabbing bastard, no way in hell we want that in our team. gomez on the other hand. never rated him ever, every time i watch him he's pants. mandzukic > gomez anyday. had been saying we should snap him up since niko, kranky, corluka, modric came..

Robben is a proven goal scorer so provided we had a new striker, our front 3 (Bale, New Striker, Robben) would all get a lot of goals. But, if he came to us, he'd have no sell on value, would eat up all our wages, and would have a big fish small pond mentality about him

Gomez ends up at Spurs if he's convicted of molesting baby Jesus. Otherwise, he'll have plenty of offers we simply can't match.

Would be nice but yeah, nah yeah nah yeah nah yeah nah not going to happen.

On a related issue, if this is true (it's the Mail) the timing seems just bizarre, given that the pair of them just helped Bayern get one foot in the Champions' League Final. I wouldn't imagine the current boss is too pleased.

I don't know if I've forgiven either for their wastefulness in the CL final last year. Both quality players though. I'd prefer to get a younger wide forward than Robben but he is a really good player. Gomez is weird; he scores bucketloads of goals but hardly gets involved in the game otherwise. He touched the ball for 20 seconds or so throughout the whole Euros and he was joint top scorer (or was that a stat for one match?). He also only made 5 passes in the game on Tuesday. However, he's still a very very good player but probably out of our reach.

Gomez has tekkers, and is miles better than Benteke that some chaps on here seem to want.

Robben however is made of glass and will not play unless he is 100% and it's a sunny day
