The negativity of some of you on here is unbelievable. How do you get through your daily lives or even get out of bed in the mornings?
If this is how you are in the real world, you must be particularly miserable!!

To be fair, striking options are looking a little on the thin side, if we're not going to get someone in, I'd rather we kept Bobby.
Fuck Adebayor though. He can bugger off.

I think to be fair, if he stayed, he'd have a good season.

I expect him to still be with us after the transfer window. But even more depressed (and thereby shitter) because we've priced him out of a move.

We will then hear the excuse that we couldn't buy another striker because we couldn't agree a deal for him to leave.

How have we priced him out of a move if other teams are willing to pay that price? He just wants to go to Villareal. If they had no money at all should we let them have him for free?

Nobody is willing to pay the price we want for him though, isn't that the problem?

No. Sevilla wanted him and were willing to pay what we wanted but he wanted to only go to Villarreal as he has a house 30 miles away and lived there while he was at Valencia.

Really? I didn't think Seville wanted to pay them money either. If that's the case then maybe we will go back to them if this falls through.

We've got to be realistic on his price though. There's no point him coming back even more depressed (because he hasn't got his move) and therefore lacking in even more confidence. It's not going to do anyone any good. If that is the case then this is going to drag on. I wouldn't be that surprised if he's still with us in September.

must say im baffered by our awful management of transfer windows, if there is even the slimiest chance Soldado isnt leaving he should have been out playing and training with the first team in germany, getting himself ready for the season, whereas Kane will be burn't out by christmas. got little faith in us currently, would love to be proven wrong.

Considering we have a transfer budget of basically £0. I think we do quite well. We have had too many flops in the last couple of years though. But that is a scouting problem that has hopefully been sorted with the arrival of Mitchel and the others.

i agree we perform well off a tight budget but do you think we judge player purely on resale value, contract ending type of stuff? the balance in the squad never seem correct, we've known for some time Ade isn't part of our plans, we basically alienated Soldado from the squad so one assumes we aren't planning on him being around, im just staggered that we are comfortable to have a squad containing 1 striker 4 days before the season starts. heard Chadli can do a job up front but not even seen poch experiement with it, unlike Dier in CM, which looks a bad idea.
Why did we buy Wimmer and Toby when we are pushing center backs into midfield because we've bought too many of them? not saying they are bad signings because i dont believe they are. just think we need to strength in the correct areas for a change even if its within our budget of 0.

I expect an apology when Soldado joins Villarreal on loan with us supplementing his wages. I don't see how having this opinion is deemed negative and a plethora of wtfs and dislikes. We are in the same situation Man City were in with Adeybayor. I.E. We gave him a contract above his market value. I.E. The clubs that can match his 60K wages don't wan't him and the clubs that do want him can't afford to pay him 60K a week in wages. So a loan move is the only possible option. The notion of us being able to receive a fee of £10 mill and be under no further financial obligation to him is ludicrous.

its kind of strange that the majority of Spurs fans are happy to keep Soldado who can't hit a barn door because he is a nice bloke - and dump Adebayor who despite being an utter tit can score goals

Just saying like

What is the point of a player that can score if he never turns up? I want both gone.

thinks because despite both doing very little on the pitch over the last 12 months, one seemed contented to be part off the squad and to sit on the bench, the other thinks hes too big for that.

You're expecting Soldado to apologise to you?

Him and Ade gone and replaced with Berahino and Werner sounds like brilliant business. Money saved on wages, two younger talents with high ceilings and a bit more position versatility.

@Matt_Law_DT: Pochettino delighted Lloris back, reiterates Ade and Lennon not in his plans but says Soldado could be and that he hopes to sign a striker
