I'm gonna cream my pants if this is true.

It's a lot of money for a 28 year old but he's tried and tested quality, not a player with only 1 good season in a top league behind him.

This was Baldini going in to the meeting earlier

Ah I see that must be Adam Suter listening in behind Baldini.

Ill be honest I don't know a great deal about him having not seen many Valencia games. Is he that good?

Reserving all excitement but would be a very, very lovely addition.

Unfortunately and I don't blame him in any way; Adebayor is likely to have football as the last thing on his mind with the sudden death of his brother, so we can't rely on him to burden being the main striker.

That is terrible news. I know internet talk mean nothing, but all my best to Ade and his family. He's had a tough run the last few years.

Frazer Campbell, Grzegorz Rasiak, Postiga...honestly if we pull this one off they're all forgiven.

Up front no

15-18m up front with 10m performance related add ons that might well be bought out in the future when Valencia's circumstances change (see Bale transfer) - i think he would

Upfront or not the deal is still calculated and reported as a whole amount. Whatever happens we won't be paying 30million euros.

Valencia are probably saying we are bidding close to release cause to keep their supporters happy.

15m up front and 15m over 2 years? As if. Not a chance we'll pay that.

22-24m would be a very reasonable price.

If you're talking pounds then I agree. However as the quoted price is €30m which is pretty much £25m then it suddenly seems plausible..

There's no point at all in us worrying about the money. We have no idea how much we have to spend or what the fine details of the deal we are working out with Valencia are. All we really know is that in the last five years we have been one of the soundest clubs financially, and if Levy is authorizing a record-breaking transfer you can bet your ass we know how to afford it.

While Franco is getting himself photographed and creating a massive smokescreen, is it possible Levy is in the Celtic boardroom?

'Gary Hooper, £3m?'

But seriously! ITK is dying badly this window if this comes together.
