I really hope Munn is not taking notes from Levy during all of this.

I worry that Levy hired a protégé, and not someone to run the football side on his own.

I think we all worry that Levy hired a fall-guy/human shield.
Re ITK and that airport photo it does look like he's already involved yet nothing seems to have changed at all bar maybe Postecoglou becoming a top target. That in itself is a little concerning. I know its too early to judge, but I was hoping his employment would make the manager search more streamlined.

Levy isn't going to step aside. The Munn and DOF appointments are just a waste of club funds and as another poster alluded to, someone else for Levy to sack apart from himself to paint a facade of renewal.

We are all second guessing right now as to Munn's input and whether Levy will look to supersede him on footballing matters, be it transfer related or managerial.

I infer from the buyout clause for Slot how the board reacted to it that the likes of Cullen, Collecott et al didn't approve of this and I can't see them not looking to stick their beak in when it's not wanted even with Munn's arrival.

Levy, rightly gets the brunt because the buck stops with him but you still also get the distinct impression of 'too many cooks' at the top table hence why we continue to dither and delay all the while the footballing world looks at us and laughs.

If levy’s not going to pay the money for slot then Munn is powerless to do anything.

Can anyone explain exactly what Munn is supposed to do? I've looked back but it's not clear to me.
I get what a coach does with the team and the DOF does the overseeing of the coach identifying players and bringing in the players that are needed but what will he be doing assuming Levy will still be signing the cheques?

He’s basically a line manager for all the different footballing departments - recruitment, academy and youth, coaching, medical. Making sure the right people are appointed, making sure the teams are working and meeting their KPIs.

So sort of the job Daniel Levy is supposed to have been doing then.
That surely has to mean he's stepping out of the day to day stuff of the club I guess.

I am not sure "Line Manager" is the term I would use, but the concept is correct as I understand it.

If Levy is the CEO, Munn is the Executive Vice-President in charge of Football Operations.

Its a little less clear what the hierarchy looks like below Munn - he oversees several departments - Mens Team, Women's Team, Academy.

So, does a DOF oversee both Men's and Women's teams? Or is there a second DOF to oversee the women's team?
