After many years of trying to sign him we finally got our man all be it towards the end of his best years. A tireless and excellent box to box midfielder with class in his younger days I feel was more of a tireless worker for us.

Despite his age this sale shows how far we have moved on as a club in this position . Years we struggled to find a top class ball winner and now we have a fair few .

Anyway thanks super Scott, I thought you were a bargain and were fantastic in the redknapp season , hard working and consistent. His injury was a blow that year. I think the injuries caught up on him last season but he still had some good games .

Very good at pirouettes .. Good luck at Fulham Martin jol finally got you!!

I do wonder if he was a spurs fan ...?

Oh and great shame he never scored for us !

Good luck Scotty - you gave us one fantastic year! You always gave 100% and put your body on the line.......

Witnessing you play was like watching a scene from 'Platoon'.....!

Cheers for everything scotty. Appreciate your service.

Gave 100% for us, this generations Michael Brown. But we have far far outclassed the likes of him with the central midfielders we have available.

First season he was with us he was my absolute favorite player. Gave his all and then some every game.

Ashamed of some of the messages from Spurs fans about him - a fantastic servant to the club.

Good luck Scott - genuinely do wish you all the best.

Ledley king is a fantastic servant to the club, Parker gave us non stop running for half a season. I think some are guilty of overrating him here. To me players like Taricco have contributed more to Spurs than him.

Never really got the Scotty-hate; I guess it was frustration from certain fans, rather than pure vitriol

He always gave 100% and got stuck in every match. I grew up watching Spurs in the 90s when we couldn't tackle (or be arsed) for shit, so I didn't mind Parker.

Cheers Scotty (y)

PS Now go kick Arsenal's butt!!

What sort of a comparison is that?

Compared to Erik Edman was was a fantastic servant then?

He gave everything every time he put on the shirt - that's what i'll remember and why I rate him like I do.

Parker gave us exactly what we needed when we needed it. I liken his contribution to Wilson Palacios. We are now pushing on to a different level but I'll always remember Parker fondly. He always gave 100% and was a model pro which is a lot more than you could say about some others who sometimes seem to be held in higher regard. I'm sure he'll do well at Fulham.

Parker is the stereotypical 'English' player, he gives his all (which is generally why he is a fans favourites) but when it comes to the technical side of game he is not quite as good as the players we have now.

He was only with us for 2 seasons, and he only played well for half a season really. I'd back any player who respects the shirt, but at the end of the day players like Tarrico, Brown, Mendes all gave the same sort of contribution to Spurs as Parker did; bigger parts of a whole not legends like King, Sheringham etc. He was bought on the recommendation of Redknapp when we could have spent the £5mil transfer fee and 65k a week on better players. Yes he did have grit and was an all round likeable bloke, but he lacked a footballing brain and ability to really help us push on. I would say he found his level at West Ham.

just wonder, where is huddlestones tribute thread ?? does it exist one ?

Exactly, Hudd contributed so much more than Parker for us and was unlucky with injuries; however as Parker was a triffic lad he gets a lot more respect.

He was the right signing at the right time, than you Scott for your great contribution. He is still premiership quality so I'am glad he's gone to Fulham.
