Should Zoko take the pens from now on?

After all I thought Berba lacked a bit of Zoko's trademark calmness when he stepped up

On a serious note I was suprised to see Zoko in ahead of Hud but guess what........Ramos knows better than me!!! Zoko had a great game (apart from when too far forward!)

I'm so so happy and I love you all

Zokora had a typical Zokora type game. Superb 1 min then SO SO frustrating the next. I do think he played well today though and he did nt stop running throughout the whole game. Well done son

Zokora was fantastic overall. Couple of stupid fouls, couple of misses (like we expect him to score anyway...), but did so much more right on the day.

No let's be fair here, he wasn't really very good was he? He did make a couple of good interceptions but has no composure at all when it comes to doing something decent! His two misses, plus the pass to no one when 2 on 1 at the end were typical Zokora.

Meh having said that we still won so what the hell!

Exactly, agree with DFF, overall great play laced with moments of pure insanity - at fault for their goal (I think he was the one player who fouled the chelsea players 3 times in a row right in front of our goal until they scored from one), for missing two great chances (3 if you count his first chance as two) and for some careless passing, but had a great engine and broke up play regularly.

Zokora was immense today, totally justified his inclusion. Would have been the icing on the cake if he'd either scored, or set up lennon at the end. Loved the way Sky edited the penalty in their end credits with zoko facing the other way.

He was. It's good that you're not too embarrassed to ask, though. We're all here to help.

Ah well that's reassuring. You know it's nice when you get negative repped for giving an opinion and justifying it. Did he make a single pass that I couldn't have made with my eyes closed? And didn't he waste three great goalscoring chances? I think that's hardly and yes respectively.

Generally, Zokora was very good today.

But... he gave away two totally unnecessary freekicks in very dangerous positions on the edge of our box - both times through being out of position and then rushing in recklessly to try to close down Drogba.

And... he made two great breaks, and as usual, messed up both situations through a lack of composure: once with his shots, and the other time with a hopeless pass.

He's very committed, and a great athlete. But he's not the man for the C/DM situation long term. And I'm not sure there are any vacancies in defence.

But he ran his heart out today, was very committed, and made some good challenges.

All we've got on this site is opinion and rep is doled all day, every day.

It is some people's opinion that Chelsea were the better team on the day. I'd neg rep them too, if i could. Sorry i hurt your feelings.

Could you do what Zokora did in today's game with your eyes open, let alone closed? And did we not win in the end? I think that's hardly and yes, respectively.

Ok I don't actually care about rep but yeah. But in response to the second bit, to be honest all Zokora did was make a few decent interceptions and run around a lot without doing anything. And to be honest, I'm confident I could get in the way of a few passes and run fast but aimlessly. Obviously I exaggerate slightly here but he did nothing that was better than any other Premiership midfielder could do. I much rather have had O'Hara, Huddlestone or Tainio from the start. In terms of anything that involves footballing talent Zokora did nothing today. I'm sorry if you disagree but that's how I see it.

And I did actually point out in my first post that we won anyway so I don't care...

Oh also, giving your all and running your heart out should be the bare minimum for any professional. That's what Dirk Kuyt does almost as much as anyone, it doesn't make him any good.

I'd much rather have it how Ramos had it. It was successful afterall, and the fans almost unanimously think Zokora had a good game. No one ever criticised Makelele for doing the simple things well and his lack of passing ability or imagination.

The same argument has been used against Jenas time and again. "...Run around a lot without doing anything."

Both of them must be doing something right, for all the running and lack of doing.
