Should Zoko take the pens from now on?

Ok I don't actually care about rep but yeah. But in response to the second bit, to be honest all Zokora did was make a few decent interceptions and run around a lot without doing anything. And to be honest, I'm confident I could get in the way of a few passes and run fast but aimlessly. Obviously I exaggerate slightly here but he did nothing that was better than any other Premiership midfielder could do. I much rather have had O'Hara, Huddlestone or Tainio from the start. In terms of anything that involves footballing talent Zokora did nothing today. I'm sorry if you disagree but that's how I see it.

And I did actually point out in my first post that we won anyway so I don't care...

Well ACTUALLY your wrong but as you 'dont care' i wont expect to see you reply to this post..........

Good performance by DZ. But he is the last player you want in a one-on-one situation. Don't think he'll ever score for us, but hardly bothered if he continues to break up the opposition's play the way he did this afternoon.

There's not a whole lot to reply to!

I'd much rather have it how Ramos had it. It was successful afterall, and the fans almost unanimously think Zokora had a good game. No one ever criticised Makelele for doing the simple things well and his lack of passing ability or imagination.

The same argument has been used against Jenas time and again. "...Run around a lot without doing anything."

Both of them must be doing something right, for all the running and lack of doing.

Ok look I'm not criticising the team selection as such, it's just a personal opinion. I don't think Zokora is very good. But whatever, you like him and good luck with that. In terms of today's performance he wasn't much better or worse than he usually is, but in general I think our other midfielders add more to our team? Fair enough?

I can understand why people think that. Players like Zokora are often unsung heroes. They don't necessarily do eye-catching things (apart from hit row Z from inside the 6 yard box). If you remember, most people didn't realise how much Carrick brought to our team until he left.

Yeah I can appreciate that. That's why I rate Teemu, he's not flashy but he's effective. But I just don't think that about Zokora to be honest.

Well, horses for courses.

Keane likes him.

Zoko facing backwards during the pen, and then just going on the crowd & Robbo's reaction and still not turning around was just classic!

I suppose if we had lost fingers would have been pointed at his fluffed chances, but he was the only one on the pitch who had the fitness to get in those positions at that stage. If only he could shoot. I assume that when Freund comes to watch his beloved Spurs he wears a Zokora shirt to show solidarity?
