I see Jamie Redknapp has stopped slagging us off so much since his mate Tim has been in charge. Makes the analysis more bearable.

Redknapp is such a ****. Can't wait to suck us off when his dad or his mate is manager, but took every opportunity to have a pop at us under AVB.

Laughed so hard when Henry and Neville tore him a new one a couple of weeks ago, even if the clip they showed was of him in our colours.

I think (hope) he is joking. If so funny, if not there probably isn´t any point in discussing it. If one thinks rationality, evidence and logic on one side and pure opinion on the other are of equal value... one is probably forever stuck neck deep in a post-modernist, bullshit dreamworld.

Maybe but he is offering opinions as fact, twisting situations to be little digs.. Yesterday he was saying how Joe Lewis sacks managers so whoever comes in has to deal with that.

Clearly it's referring to his Daddy. Levy was dealing with his Mother's funeral and Lewis is apparently the one who pulled the trigger.

They only champion Hoddle for the job because he said some good things about the U21 and he's a friend of the show. 8 years without a management job is akin to retirement.

SSN twitter has started posting clips of their Soccer Saturday show with headlines like 'find out what Merson had to say about Man Utd's goal...'.. I wish I could hide tweets. Any ideas how to do that without unfollowing them?? transfer window is coming up after all.

Sky Sports is man in the pub television. Jeff Stelling giving his thoughts on football, no more valid than you or I - except he is on TV and we're not (yet).

I thought it was amusing watching the entirely biased and self-serving twist to the punditry of Hoddle and Redknapp yesterday. Glenn wants the job, so didn't want to say anything too positive about how we did under Sherwood, whereas Redknapp, who has been slagging us off for the last year and a half, was all smiles for the wonderful work of his great mate and Redknapp clan apartnik. Of course it wasn't as blatant as that, but you could deconstruct the thoughts behind their "objective" opinions.

Actually I thought it was as blatant as you described. When we won Glenn looked like someone had just asked him to suck Satan's cock. (I think he'd do it too if it meant him getting the job :cautious:).

I do like this.

Its down to the individual give and have opionions. Then decide which he or she finds

Yes I am. I just think that everybody is entitled to an opinion and it is down to the recipient to evaluate its worth and ignore or digest accordingly. If they disagree with said opinion then fine. But it does not make that opinion somehow invalid, no matter who says it.

If certain mods didn't merge threads needlessly, everybody around here would be wise to Hoddle's craziness.

It is the sort of formation and line up you could only put out at home to Shamrock Rovers when you have already qualified from your Europa League group and want to teach players about hybrid positions - oh and if most of the rest of the squad is suspended...

he referenced this formation yesterday. something about having 2 up top but still being dominant in midfield with the ball and then slipping into a 5 at the back formation without the ball

he (and i) are fans of the 5-3-2 or 3-5-2 sort of formation but i think walker and rose would be well suited to the wingback role much like christian zeige and stephen carr were

but I'm not sure about prospect of no dembele eriksen holtby or lamella!

Hard to believe Glenn is still crazy about the 3-5-2 after all these years...at least he sticks to his beliefs. But I guess throwing that out eliminated any slim chance he had of getting the job...
