Tactically it's almost worked perfectly. It's obvious the plan has been to drop off, coax Southampton forward and then take advantage of them being absolutely wide open and legs spread for the reaming on the counter attack. We've put together slick moves, very good ones in fact, to get in but our front line particularly Son and Moura have totally barbecued them and undone the hard work. No excuse for not converting either of the chances especially the Moura one and the disallowed goal was a bit unfortunate seeing as Son was picking himself up off the floor but when you've had the first half he's had you're not in the mood to be charitable.

If counter opportunities keep happening then you'd hope we convert one, but it's a dangerous game considering we're not exactly rock solid defensively and soaking up pressure always has that element of danger to it in any case.

I wouldnt say we have been really good - id say we have been ok. Still conceding too many chances and opportunities. We always seem to be in havoc at the back or when defending and always appear under pressure.

We have had a few good opportunities and most have come from Dele/GLC in terms of creativity

Haaland has five goals in fifty odd minutes for Dortmund with chances similar to ones we’ve missed over the last game and half.

I actually can’t wait to see what this team can do once we have a Striker, GLC has the ability to open up defences / spaces & it’s a joy to watch.

Son`s turn to be the target of toxicity then.

You're right. How dare anybody be criticised when they're playing poorly in the match that the match thread is the subject of.

I've seen no toxicity, just people commenting that he's in bad form.

Son has always been a really streaky player, and we're paying the price for continuously, repeatedly failing to recruit a striker who can give us an option for times when Kane is injured (which seems to a sizeable chunk of every season) or out of form (which is also not unheard of) and our current streaky Korean stand-in is on a cold streak rather than a hot one.

No one to blame but our management and board.

Few poor passes, wimpish tackles, but liking the quick counter attack play.

Should've certainly scored at least one.

Our finishing has been absolute trash these passed few games. We are in need of a clinical finisher
