Tempting to blame Aurier but I'm a little peeved with Mourinho who waited far too long to make subs after Lamela when we were visibly tiring and becoming so so fucking sloppy and inviting pressure.
To be fair to him he had Dier ready to come on for like 5 minutes before their goal but the ball hadn't gone out of play.

Jose is in error from what most of us know. There was no option, but obligation. Option was if we paid now, then 19m less. Otherwise summer we had to exercise our commitment
Guess there'll be no Mourinho stuff in the RO in future then, the fraud

The reason Moura was knackered was because he chased every loose ball near him or whenever we lost possession unlike Dele, who’d give up the chase whenever he lost possession.

But that's the point he always loses possession which why he's always running around to get it back. If he didn't lose possession so much he & the team wouldn't have run half as much.

We never seem to have much luck with Brazilians, the ones we buy tend to be everything I've believed a Brazilian footballer should be which is good on the ball, the ability to keep it & the occasional bit of brilliance. This something that concerns me about the CF we're supposedly trying to buy will be he be another Brazilian we buy that really doesn't fit the mould of a Brazilian footballer?

To be fair to me I'm not certain it was Dier I had in mind :shifty:

But, yes, fair enough I suppose.

If we can get the defence right along with the right balance in midfield and up top I reckon we could be both devastating and exciting on the counter attack.

I think the team is showing progress. We look more solid. The defense is looking better and today the midfield was able to make some fast passes and break the press. We wasted some good chances and in the end the result was fair. Hope we finish signing Piatek so we can stop using Moura at the top. Can´t wait for Ndombele to play and i like what i´ve seen from Fernandes. He is going to be a good addition to the group. Glass half full for me.

Mourinho on the option to buy Lo Celso
“It’s not an obligation, it’s an option. I think the boy is earning the decision. He’s making an easy decision for the club to execute the option. Incredible evolution since I arrived. Barely played a game, I think he played against Red Star Belgrade, with me a little bit difficult to come in the first few weeks.

“But he understood what we wanted. Good learner, good kid and I think by himself he made the decision that the club is going to execute the option. That’s normal, he earned it.”
Pretty much every media outlet and itk said it was an option to buy if we failed to get CL (likely) and an obligation to buy if we did get CL quali. Perhaps Jose is conceding the fact we won't qualify for CL this season :cautious:

Having watched the whole game I am not sure what all the moaning is about . For the first time in ages I thought we looked pretty good and there were really promising signs . Admittedly we probably ran out of steam a bit but to be honest that’s the first time I’ve watched us for quite a bit thinking things are beginning to pick up . First post on here logged on as all the negativity was annoying me . And believe me I’ve been negative for a fair while !

A lot of our players were giving away possession but not many tried to retrieve it back from the opponents.

We missed some great chances in the first half,, that came to haunt us. Second half we seemed to play much better, however, we missed a few more chances. A draw was a fair result, but, a replay that we could have done away with.

Midfield is the problem, great going forward but when defending against any team, we just get rolled over.

I still wonder if he was played way earlier for Poch would things be very different now.. But thing is Poch never considered him ready at all...

We are rubbish lets be honest in terms how far we fallen, i dont understand this tired excuse anymore, every team weve played xmas n post xmas are dont look tired, notba lethargic and bedraggled as us, its a joke. We looked again today in essence bar some very brief flashes and i mean very brief we basically resemble a team that Pulis or Big sam style.

We are unable to group more than 2 or 3 passes, we are unable to pass in general, its so poor. Too many players just so off at the moment, i dunno whats up with son, hes becoming like dele brother, moura is totally knackered..... only positive is we have Gio the amazing Lo Celso
