Dier will not be sold to United, its funny that in the same article it talks about Poch wanting versatile players and then it moves on to selling probably our most flexible player. Dier has been involved in what? 30 games this season, he is a key part of the squad and our only real alternative to Victor.

Dier is younger than Keane, can play in more positions than Keane and is settled in the team. The article is basically bollox.

Why would Dier even want to leave? He's playing with his mates every week in a team that is on the up. Wages would increase but I can't see him leaving for money. I'd be amazed if he was sold in the summer.

Dier is the player who allows us to change formation at will and is also one of Poch's leaders on the pitch. Whenever there is a break in play, it is always Dier taking a drink on the touchline with Poch talking to him. Why on earth would he want to work for a cockwomble like Mourinho after working for Poch? They might want him but they can do one.

If we were to get Keane, who is a good player, it's more likely that it would be to replace Wimmer.

I don't think Toby Alderweirald has signed a new contract yet so maybe the interest in Keane is incase he doesn't. I could see one of the giants like Barcelona wanting Toby, he would be perfect for them sadly. Can't see us selling Dier or any of our big players to a rival.

'Tottenham are ready'
'Which could boost?
Nothing actually happening then.
They don't even believe it themselves.
Clickbait rumour at the moment.
Now if it had been on 'Football Whispers
that would have been different.

Saw Gards on Twitter debating with the journo who wrote this basically calling it bollocks. Telegraph journo said they'd have to agree to disagree. What's Gards' rep like these days ?

Jose said at the start of the year he wanted Dier either in the winter TW or the summer TW so I expect he will get a decent offer.

Why don't United go and buy Keane themselves instead? I though they liked buying back their old players for higher prices than they sold them for.

If they think they can get Dier and then use that to get Dele due to their friendship then they can fuck right off!

Would love Keane. Though not at the expense of losing any of our players.

Are we still in have to sell before we can buy mode?
Can't decide whether I'm pleased or sorry if we are.
See above
Depends who,and how much unless Toby is off
Keane, decent, English, right age for centre-back
But Man Utd said to be in for him
Not keen (sorry) to shell out another 30 million plus
for somebody who won't be first choice.
Would he come to be a squadie?
Oh buy him it's not actually my money.

I don't think it's a question of just being a squaddie.
We play around 55 games a season with 3 at the back, that's 165 outings. If we have four starting CBs that's still 41 games each which is more than enough in the modern game.

No-one can be sold this summer. No-one. The squad HAS to be kept together - not just for their individual qualities but for the bond they have formed. Look what happened to Leicester after selling Kante. The collective harmony Poch has built is as invaluable as it is fragile. Who knows which Jenga piece being pulled out might make the whole tower collapse?

For the same reason, personally I would also support not signing anyone else either. Use the money saved to sweeten the deal of the current squad and keep them all together (eg a massive one off performance bonus for winning the league/cup/top 4 etc etc).

Don't mess with the dynamic - even if it means you keep Sissoko on the books for another year!

You were well in line for a 'winner' rating until you ballsed it all up with that last paragraph
