So as well as going off at the end of the season for games in Malaysia and Australia, it has been announced today that we will face the MLS All-Stars on 29th July in Colorado.

Levy and Co trying to rack up the air miles!

What happened to Levy and Poch's agreement about going to Australia so we don't have to travel during pre season?

I think this referred to not 'touring' a particular country/region for a week or more. Rather than just playing one off games.

I'm sure there's a perfectly reasonable explanation.

I just don't give a fuck.

If we end up 7th and qualify for EL, don't we have to start the qualifying rounds in July?

Poch said he didn't want us to have a pre-season tour. We're not.

I thought 7th was ruled out of EL now, based on who is left in FA Cup.
Or is it still up in the air while Liverpool are still in it?

Ives Galarcep (a big dog in American soccer reporting) claims that this was discussed as part of the Dempsey deal. Let's hope things are a little less heated than last year's edition. I can understand the frustration from yall on that side of the pond, but I'm excited to actually get to see the boys play in person.

Quotes from Pochettino from http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/artic...nnounced-opponents-2015-att-mls-all-star-game

"We'd like to thank Major League Soccer for the invitation to take part in the 2015 All-Star Game,” Tottenham head coach Mauricio Pochettino said in a statement. “The fact that this will be our only fixture outside of Europe during preseason says a lot about how we view this game. We enjoyed three tough matches last summer in North America and the quality of football in MLS continues to grow every year.

“Preseason is an important time for us and we are looking forward to being a part of one of the biggest events on the US football calendar. We know the quality of the facilities will be top-class and we see this fixture against the best players from MLS as good preparation."

Daniel Levy gets his USA trip again.. he can have a holiday on uncle Joe's yacht in Bahamas chat to Under Armour execs. about sponsorship then, after the game, back home for a bit of work on the transfers / new stadium, and then off to Australia with the squad... All this is after forcing season tickets holders to pay in full, by 18 May, in cash, or their credit cards.. or the THFC MBNA credit card offer.

7th is still up for grabs as Chelsea won the League Cup and the Europa League place for that cup goes to the League. If Arsenal and Liverpool get to the final of the FA Cup then 7th will also get a Europa League place.
