No Manager on planet earth gets every single first choice player that they want. No squad on planet earth stays fit across an entire season. No team on planet earth who we aspire to be plays 1 game a week.

Yet this Manager requires all 3 to be successful apparently.

For what it's worth i'm still Conte in.. But i'm now Conte out.

I'm 100% certain we would win things under Conte IF he got in the players he wanted specifically.

I'm now Conte out because I've now come to realise it just isn't going to happen with Levy in charge.

I genuinely feel bad for Conte because there's no fucking way he would have taken the job without those assurances and Levy has screwed him so much the fans are now turning on the manager and not fucking Levy. It's fucking criminal what our chairman gets away with.

I'm fuming, not with Conte but our fuckwit chairman who some way, some how, continuously gets away with this bullshit.
Totally agree but Conte needs to share some of the blame tonight especially for that performance and the subs, bringing on Sanchez and again overlooking Danjuma, not to mention Son playing 90 mins, fuming.

Yep, all the raging about no effort here is wide of the mark. The essential problem is the attack.

Who in all the world at the start of this season would guess that 2 superstars from last season (Kulu, Son) would turn into carthorses for all this season...not just a few games, they have lost their mojos for the entire season.

Extreme bad luck, on top of which Kane's impeccably accurate passing is not quite there this season. So a perfect fowardline storm...oh I forgot about Richarlison, one would... no comment required.

Conte's crime was to pretend this loss of form wasn't happening and just never sub attackers or shakeup the forward line just repeating the same personnel over and over expecting form to return.
Tonight had nothing whatsoever to do with the players’ effort or passion. They were playing in a straight jacket. You could see we were a very rigid 5-4-1 when defending and no one was allowed cross the halfway line.

Several times, first half, we got two thirds the way up the pitch and there was a big hole between our forwards and midfielders where we needed someone in but we had no one. So Perisic and Royal were forced to go sideways and backwards.

The managers tactics screwed us tonight. Absolutely unacceptable.

I think it’s inevitable, wouldn't blame him
I think its inevitable, wouldn't blame him either.
Man U are not guaranteed big trophies yet it’s just their fans think they are. All I hear from their entitled fans is how Kane is wasting his time with us and needs to go to them if he wants to win trophies. I would rather he go to Man City than that lot.

The fans singing for Pochettino at the stadium tonight should be ashamed of themselves.

Why?

Just goes to show that for fans football IS more than just trophies. A lot of us just want a manager we like, a manager we feel has a connection to the fans, playing football we can actually enjoy regardless of the result.

We know we're going nowhere with Levy regardless.

If only there was a Manager who loves Spurs, who the fans love too, plays great football, wants to be here, is out of a job currently and lives in the same postcode
Do you mean the same guy that the owners failed to back last time, didn’t win anything and ended up getting sacked?

What makes you think it will be any different this time??

Honestly I was astonished by this. Like reappointing poch is the answer to all our problems….
Why should they be ashamed what a pathetic statement we all have the right to vent our opinion. We pay top dollar to watch that shit so yes they should have the right, who the fuck are you to say they cant!! Obviously a happy clapper, and bringing back Poch would massively be the answer because a least we would have youth and playing football properly once again!! Wow im ashamed of you

It was a very small minority to be honest and most had quite a bit to drink drowning their sorrows and that was at half time! Most just quietly looked resigned and more like a collective shrugging of shoulders.

Most are just frustrated by the lack of direction from board level but cannot even be bothered to muster Levy / ENIC out.

If it's exactly the same, isn't that still infinitely better? Football worth watching, fighting for the PL and CL

They're going to be City level if not higher when the Qatari takeover goes through. Even when we were thriving under Poch we won fuck all and they were still picking up domestic and European trophies whilst having inferior players.

Antonio keeps making stupid tactical decisions, lineups and late substitutions. Sorry but we should have been playing with cohesion and a plan tonight yet we were hardly testing them.

Sheff UTD = loss
Wolves = loss
AC Milan = loss

all without scoring a goal and maybe 6 shot on target combined. its so not fun these days

It won’t be. But all I know is it’s the best I’ve ever felt as a Spurs fan in 30 years. If this is the alternative then give me Poch all day every day.

Most fans in the flesh at the ground were definitely not chanting for Poch or anything for that matter at full time. People just look fed up, understandably it’s just going to be the usual twitter / social media doom but I must reiterate there were no en masse anger or chants after the game. People are just done and like us most are lost for words.

Everyone still remembers Poch’s constant flirting with Man U/Real Madrid and saying in a press conference before our biggest game in recent times that he might leave right? You also remember his signing and how awful we were at the end of his time here? We hit a golden patch with him in the middle but it was bloody painful in the end. Maybe we should look at some other options as well?

Agreed. I've hated Man U since primary school when everyone it seemed was either Man U or Spurs. I'm now in my 60's !!

Conte won’t be here at the weekend . The boos at the kulu sub was music to Levy’s ears , it’s given him the ammunition he needed to sack Conte . I think overall Conte was a good appointment, we got 4th , improved the squad but he simply has to go because he has lost all passion for the project , lost the dressing room and fans . By the way the players need to held culpable for the shambles , tonight and at sheff united, they don’t get any ‘get out of jail free cards ‘ I’d happily see the back of half that team . Spineless and gutless sums up their performances this season . Unless a team has rolled over for us and made it piss easy to win ( city aside ) we haven’t had one great result this season . I can see us in free fall now and very toxic stadium in saturday of Conte is still managing .

Fair point. But them fans will be moaning about the next trophyless season....
