Which begs the question how can these players go from the great run at the end of last season, blowing teams away to the utter shite this season???
Majority of teams have realised we have next to zero possession game so if they just sit back all we can do is spam crosses against them.

They also know the patterns we do have are ultra basic. It usually goes through Kane so just mark him tightly etc. I stopped counting for the second half, but half a dozen times first half Milan let eg. Son or Kulusevski drop into the pocket and just gambled they were going to turn the ball around the corner, and low and behold they predicted right and got the ball back.

We're alright if the game is stretched, we can transition, and attack space. Otherwise we're a fairly useless football team. Defensively as well, it's either deep rigid 5-4-1 block or we're leaky as hell. Teams know all this, they've adjusted.

They're going to be City level if not higher when the Qatari takeover goes through. Even when we were thriving under Poch we won fuck all and they were still picking up domestic and European trophies whilst having inferior players.
That’s because they had that great coach. What was his name again?

And theyve already won a trophy under ETH.

United are only going to get better. That Liverpool game was a freak result and I fear for Southampton at the weekend, could see them shipping their annual 9 goals lol

Honestly I was astonished by this. Like reappointing poch is the answer to all our problems….

Id settle for just solving a couple of our problems to be fair and get Poch back. Best of a bad situation. Anything’s better than this

what is required to solve ALL of our problems won’t happen and isn’t an option. Doesn’t mean there aren’t ways to be somewhat better in some ways as uninspiring as that is

Conte won’t be here at the weekend . The boos at the kulu sub was music to Levy’s ears , it’s given him the ammunition he needed to sack Conte . I think overall Conte was a good appointment, we got 4th , improved the squad but he simply has to go because he has lost all passion for the project , lost the dressing room and fans . By the way the players need to held culpable for the shambles , tonight and at sheff united, they don’t get any ‘get out of jail free cards ‘ I’d happily see the back of half that team . Spineless and gutless sums up their performances this season . Unless a team has rolled over for us and made it piss easy to win ( city aside ) we haven’t had one great result this season . I can see us in free fall now and very toxic stadium in saturday of Conte is still managing .
Yep that was very noticeable at the ground, the Deki subbing off was most definitely the most vocal booing in a while. A lot of people around me started to exit the stadium at that point. I will also be at the Forest game and if we lose the discontent will be even louder. Then I think it will start to go towards Levy again. This house of cards is falling down at an alarming rate. The room hasn’t been read in a while but oh heck if they appoint Mason as interim until the next one jeez it’s going to be uncomfortable viewing.

If the ownership isn’t changing then I'll take the only Manager who was able to have a somewhat productive relationship with them in the last 20 years.

Do you mean the same guy that the owners failed to back last time, didn’t win anything and ended up getting sacked?

What makes you think it will be any different this time??
If Poch had had access to the 200 million odd spent under Conte in 15 months...

the excuses under Conte have run out. He's had money and time. The teams gone backwards and only Bentancur of players bought by him have improved.

The non commitment by him or club to a signature is untenable.

I am more gutted at the thought of losing Kane at the end of the season, than losing tonight. Strange one that. Not to put too fine a point on it, but were fucked....Spineless gits, the lot of them

Everyone still remembers Poch’s constant flirting with Man U/Real Madrid and saying in a press conference before our biggest game in recent times that he might leave right? You also remember his signing and how awful we were at the end of his time here? We hit a golden patch with him in the middle but it was bloody painful in the end. Maybe we should look at some other options as well?
Of course we remember, someone mentions it at least once a day in every single thread! :cautious:

Its because they spend shit piles of money, not the coach. The idea they've had their hands tied financially because of the Glazers is laughable. Spend the amount they have and you'll still get it right occasionally no matter how piss poor your manager or the transfers are. Look at Chelsea now. Next season will be another matter.

May be an exaggeration but that performance reminded me of under George Graham.

Defensively not too bad and in a good position but going forward totally zero ideas. Basically hoping someone comes up with something.

Like when we beat Leicester in the cup, we got a lucky break that day but for 110 mins, Nada.

Tonight was like that but no lucky break
Yeah, like when we won the 1st leg 1-0 v Kaiserslautern, so for the 2nd leg, Graham drops Ginola, our only good attacking player, to go defensive and we lose 2-0. Those were the days.

Most fans in the flesh at the ground were definitely not chanting for Poch or anything for that matter at full time. People just look fed up, understandably it’s just going to be the usual twitter / social media doom but I must reiterate there were no en masse anger or chants after the game. People are just done and like us most are lost for words.
And more than this, there was a real positive vibe around the place before the game. It’s just the going in and sitting through that abject shit that slowly drains your enthusiasm.

Sheff UTD = loss
Wolves = loss
AC Milan = loss

all without scoring a goal and maybe 6 shot on target combined. its so not fun these days
And there ends the season and mid table mediocrity absolutely shocking we have to change this regime or we are fucked!!!
