Insanity is doing the same the thing over and over again and expecting different results. We know this starting 11 produces mid-table performances because that’s what it has done for 18 months. Why persist with it? Unless we truly spent huge sums of money on players who can’t break into a mid-table team. Are we West Ham?

I don’t think Mourinho will be our manager this time next year. His only option is to overhaul the squad but that’s impossible in this financial situation.
I wish we were West Ham!!

Line up is in no way surprising. Fairly obvious we will be playing on the counter attack today like the United game and so you could confidently predict the selections - especially as defensively as a unit we did pretty well in that match. Mourinho trusts Winks and Sissoko to hold the fort and carry out his instructions, that's just how it is. And in a game like this, with the tactics we're surely about to see, it's pure fantasy to think he was going to put like Ndombele in the cm2 etc. Probably the main talking point was whether Lo Celso was fit enough, and if he'd go with all three of his attacking midfield speedsters.

You all must have known it was coming, so I don't get the surprise/confusion/anger when it's announced.

I'm not surprised, I'm just very, very disappointed and it's why I don't trust Mourinho to rebuild this squad.

Things were worse under Christian Gross apparently :shifty:

To be honest if you're not starting Ndombele (and Jose has made that clear) then this is about as good a line up as we have bar Lucas for Bergwijn.

COYS!
Christian Gross waiving his train ticket would be more entertaining than the shit Jose is serving up

my son is away, so had to ask a mate over because I cannot watch this game alone. Emotional support needed.

How many times do players have to perform terribly for a change to happen

This is the thing people keep saying it’s not Jose’s fault how we are playing...It’s the players. Which to a degree it is the players.. however Jose keeps picking the same under performing Players game in game out steadfastly refusing to give other players a run in the team.

40 minutes to kick off and folk are going in hard in here, amateur hour. You'll be on your last legs by the time kick off happens. Pace yourselves.

Jose: alright boys. You know the plan. Let Arsenal have the ball and we’ll catch them on the counter.

Squad: what if arsenal score?

Offical not watching this now. Had a good day so far, don’t wanna ruin it with Spurs and the same bollocks. Rather cook some nice food and be with my girls. Good game to you all.

Friendly reminder that we absolutely battered this lot a few months into Poch’s reign with a midfield two of Mason and Bentaleb.
