The previous 3 managers tried sorting the defence out first and make us more solid. It didn't work.

This is true but I'd also say that they didn't really have the right players for their systems either. The managers weren't the right fit but no one is winning anything with the defence we've had the last few years.

I think that was a proper 50/50 where both players contact the ball at the same time whereas Romero won the ball and followed through high up on the leg

With the energy we expend, did feel we needed to have more to show of it in terms of goals as Villa were always likely to get back in the game so not entirely surprised. They are a good team with a clever coach who knows how to make the most of the oppo's weaknesses and at the moment with the injuries and suspensions we have, just feels we have too much there to exploit. Irritating but no great surprise.
