I have a feeling that it was process and that he had to give a red so he can then VAR it but I dont know.

Yeah I see H88 clarified above, so in essence for Ziyech to get a yellow the red had to be produced first. VAR is a farce though, it’s never cut and dry.

I would have thought the VAR confirmed his decision. In the end he withdrew it after looking at it. Ffs.
