Of course they won't try. I have no idea who's suggesting it but it smells suspiciously like a few utter bells on Twitter having a tantrum. The sad thing about it is that sensible fans will get lumped in with them.
Harrumph. Nobody in SC ever makes sweeping generalizations off of small or selected sample sizes.

The reaction to all this is completely bizarre to me. Yes, Liverpool were severely wronged. But is this not a sport where goals are frequently incorrectly ruled in or out due to human error? I mean, before VAR it was a weekly basis of goals being ruled incorrectly due to the linesman getting wrong decision on offside calls. All of a sudden this happens to Liverpool in a significant game and we should be having replays and awarding points to losers? Crazy!

The calls from them about UAE trips and corruption are so arrogant as they believe thats the only thing that can halt a Man City title challenge.

They are way off that and have had 4 red cards in a handful of games. They should focus on their own discipline and playing better football.

I'd actually like to replay the game at Upton Park when most of the squad had stomach flu, and reset the champions league English places once we win it. Oh and Newcastle and City shouldn't be in it because they weren't that year.

To whom should I write?
That day is still very sus for me. We were made to play the game with half the squad so sick they would have qualified for doctors note excusing them from work. We couldn’t replace them because the youth squad had finished their season the week before so were all on vacation. Meanwhile the FA bigwigs refused to postpone the game because they were all in a jolly at Highbury courtesy of David Dein to celebrate the Arse’s last game there. And guess who benefited from our sick team losing?
I understand the reason for all games to kick off at the same time on the final weekend is so no one has an advantage but where’s the fairness of making a team of sick players play a game with so much at stake.

honestly im not mad at us getting no praise, keep us being the underdog, keep us being underrated, keep us being the little brother. This is the most united i've seen the fan base in a long time and honestly we are creating that siege mentality that Mourinho was trying to get when he came. Genuinely i think this is where Ange makes his bread and butter. I know last year we started bright but faded off but this just feels different.

Victimpool, explore all options including getting laughed at by Lecy when they request a replay.

I hope the club remain focussed on the decision and it ruins their season.

The only fair response to determine the real winner of Saturdays game is to see if Klopp can throw a kettle over the Bill Nick.. the real quiz.

Could anyone see anyway the PL would action a replay?
No. Mistakes happen. If they rule a replay, you will have appeals every single game. And where do you draw the line. What happens if Spurs appeal fouls that weren’t awarded by the ref, does that cancel out the original mistake?

We’d expect our own club to put out a similarity worded statement if it had happened to us. The fact is we probably wouldn’t have because we haven’t in the past which I always find disappointing as we come over as too passive and easily abused. I felt we should have made a very strongly worded complaint when we were given 4 consecutive Monday. Night fixtures in the run-in of the season we were chasing Leicester for the title. It gave them an unfair advantage but we just let it pass!
I wouldn't. I would expect us to be unhappy sure, but a statement like that? What's it going to do in the grand scheme of things? If we did it we would be a laughing stock. All they needed to do was say they accept it was human error, accept the apology from the officials and PGMOL and move on.

The last sentence about the "options" wasn't needed, because there are no viable options. Replay? Nope. Sue? Nope. Ban officials from Liverpool games? Lol not likely. Retroactively award the goal? Hell no.

It's a laughable reaction to this. Wolves didn't so this after the United game. Nobody has done this before and it screams embarrassing victim mentality. It was a huge human error, that was it. Nothing more. Nothing less.

Also loved how well Ange handled this. No smirking, no mysterious anecdote, just that people are human and make mistakes.

Shots fired!

But what the fuck do they want?
Breaking news - In light of Liverpool's whinging and this statement the Premier League governing body and Uefa have decided to properly even things out, which will result in them having to add on another two entire football seasons to replay all the controversial games where seriously questionable decisions given that favoured Liverpool, incuding the 2019 Champions League final, which will also see them having to hand back ther last league title....

Sounds to me like they’re getting ready to sue the officials. Imagine how ridiculous it would be if they try that.

People are only worrying about them trying to get the match replayed because it’s us and it is exactly the kind of shit we’d get pulled on us.
If they do try, they should be kicked out of the league. It would definitely influence decisions for and against them going forward and would mean no fair contests against Liverpool.

Agree, I can’t get my head round it. There have been bad VAR calls almost every week this season costing teams just as much as Liverpool yet those teams aren’t kicking up such a fuss about it.
