One thing I would like is some kind of Elvis Costello themed chant.

We don't want Poch to go to Chelsea
Please don't work for that **** Todd Boehly

or something…

I just want to see some fight, some pride in the shirt if not for themselves. I’m not expecting us to become world beaters overnight but surely this is not too much to ask?

What formation do we think Mase goes for. He's a 4 atb man I believe and presumably lenglet and Davies should be okay now, so we could drop either or both of those in to the back line in place of dier and perisic.

Or do you think he plays safe and goes 3 atb with Davies back at lwb? I'd guess the latter

With the players available I don’t think there is much choice than playing (or at least starting with) a 343 at the moment.

As a long-standing supporter (Jimmy Greaves, anyone ?), I find the current situation really sad. The reason being that WE are Tottenham Hotspur - we, the supporters. Everything else changes : the coaches, the players, the stadium, the club crest, the sponsors - even the owners (one day !). But we remain; always. Like many I have an emotional attachment to Spurs and am proud to be a supporter of this club. Currently, we are in the middle of a feeding frenzy with the press and outsiders having their say. However, this will subside when another club comes into focus. In the meantime I would like to see the supporters make an enormous statement about our pride in the club; not the ownership or the players, but in ourselves - because WE are Tottenham Hotspur. While I understand the calls for mutiny on Thursday, I would like to see the opposite. I full-on, loud demonstration of our love for the club. An intimidating atmosphere for a flaky United team and a clear statement that WE still care greatly about the club. So, I hope everyone in the stadium cheers as loudly as they can for 90 minutes. You never know, it might also drive our overpaid snowflakes to deliver a performance of which we can all be proud.

They are missing their 2 best centrebacks, Bruno *and* have just played 120 mins in a draining Fa Cup semi.....and are still big favourites. Our drop off has been crazy

I personally think they’ll win comfortably against us but the bookies certainly don’t have them as big favourites.
Betfair has us at 7/4 and them at 7/5.

Certainly there's a chance now, given the change to Mason, that we didn't have before.
Hugely difficult task ahead, given the injuries, fitness returns, and needing to balance a needed push for more front-foot football with avoiding another defensive catastrophe.

A lot of character will be needed. I would expect Ryan to be having 1 to 1 chats with a few individuals, whether to gauge their mentality and readiness to play (e.g. Davinson) or let them know they'll be rested for now but not cast aside (Hugo).

Outside chance that a youngster gets it. Mason himself was trusted very early on by Poch, when a lot of senior players were cast aside.

If he sticks with 4atb, it will need the right balance, with actual Fullbacks playing at Fullback; an aggressive midfield press to put pressure on the ball when we're out of possession, so younger, athletic players who aren't knackered, but also have some actual ability with the football.

The below is obviously very far-fetched, and assumes match fitness for some, but based on recent match-day squads:

_________________Forster
__Tanganga___Sanchez___Lenglet___Davies
Mundle____Devine___Skipp_____Sarr______Richarlison
_________________Kane

viable subs:
Danjuma, Son, Porro (at RM)

Time Out on the naughty step:
Lloris, Romero, Dier, Hojbjerg, Perisic, Kulusevski

Oh wow that's strange. I'd say the general vibe though, even looking at stuff like fantasy football and who people want to captian this week are that Utd will win.

I think it might be quite tight.

Agreed. Think Thursday will be tight, Sunday will be another hiding.

Zero clue how on earth Mason will set us up for this.

He likes 4-2-3-1 usually but who would be full backs then, Davies and Tanganga?

Otherwise suppose he'll go back to 3-4-3 as not much choice given injuries?

Would like to see Richarlison start instaed of one of the 3 CM's from last match and possibly Danjuma over Kulu.

Something like the below could be good:

Forster

Tanganga Romero Lenglet Davies (or Youth team LB?)

PEH Skipp or Sarr

Richarlison Danjuma Son

Kane

If Davies is fit I reckon he goes back 4, with as many British player as possible in the team (he favoured them last time)

forster

Tangsnga
Romero
Dier
Davies

skipp
Hojberg

kulu
Kane
Danjuma

richy

sonny to come off the bench and run at tired legs

How's the ticket situation looking? Still loads on the exchange?
Just filtered it on the ticketing website and including corporate seats, at time of writing: 4,748 seats available. Also, this obviously doesn’t include people who like me won’t put their ticket up on exchange and some might not put it up as the tickets aren’t shifting. It will be interesting to see on Thursday night how many empty seats there will be and it will be more noticeable in the south, north and east with the position of the cameras.

Well said. The fans need to let the players, and he whose name I wont mention because my blood begins to boil when I hear it, know that Tottenham is our club. And yes, I started supporting Spurs in 1959 and JG will always be my favourite player (followed by Dave Mackay).

As much as I’d love to believe differently, he’ll go safe and it will basically be all the usual players in.

Forster

Porro, Romero, Dier, Lenglet, Perisic (is Ivan the only fit lwb?)

Hojbjerg, Skipp

Kulu, Kane, Son

I’m not expecting him to make any noticeable de idioms such as dropping Son and Deki for Richy and Danjuma as much as I’d like to see it.

This will be captain safety and a standard 2/3 goal loss.
