I’m expecting a massive reaction from the lads today after the Newcastle shambles. 0-3 Man Utd.

I was offered tickets for tonight, first time I’ve ever simply not wanted to go. I think the atmosphere will be pretty vile especially if we go behind and after the last few weeks, especially the last game, I’m just not feeling it :(

I'm actually going to watch this.

Well, for a while at least.

But somewhere deep down I can't get rid of the feeling that the anticipation will soon give way to the usual, that's how bad it's been this season, week after fucking week of it.

But i'm standing by my boys, the usual bets on Kane and fuck it, Son at 16/1 from outside the area. COYS

Put my ticket up on the exchange earlier in the week but no taker.

Not yet sure if I will watch on a stream or just give it a swerve and continue the happiness caused by last nights match.

Since the new stadium opened Man Utd have come to town for:

-1st game back for Project restart during pandemic
-Jose's last home game
-Nuno's last game
-The caretakers caretakers first game

When the 23/24 fixture is out in June it might be worth sticking a tenner down on the apocalypse.

I just feel that if the match-going fans boo and protest all game, the ones who are going to suffer the most are the players, not Levy.
I will never understand the thought process around actively hurting the club in the process of trying to make oneself heard.

If we get off to a good start. All will be forgotten.

I suspect Mason will go safe and pick a team and formation that has got us nowhere this season, fans will get restless after 15 mins, United dominate possession and we limp home with a 0-2 defeat

I've become inured to Spurs pain lately.

I'm genuinely interested in the match today with all the variables involved , we concede ..its stopped hurting as I've given up on top 4 for this season.

Soton draw/Brighton win did it, followed by B'mouth which confirmed it. By Newc's first three I'd reached a pleasant numbness.

I think the fans will be behind Mason at the start. If the team plays with passion, the fans will get behind the team as well.

I just want to see the seeds of a more positive, attacking, watchable style of football. I don’t even particularly care if we win, seasons gone at this point, but show us some passion and some identity that we can build on. It won’t be perfect, it probably won’t even be good, but it should be clear that we’re working on it.

It's on tv here this afternoon and I get to share it with my lovely wife. She can't move off the sofa as she had knee replacement surgery yesterday, so y'know, she has no choice.

I have a bit of optimism though and I think we'll sneak this one by one goal.
