Harvey White makes his full debut in the team to face Marine, Gedson and Joe Rodon make their second starts of the campaign and it's a first taste of the FA Cup for Harvey and Carlos Vinicius, who starts up front. Academy striker Alfie Devine makes his first appearance on the bench, where he's joined by fit-again Gareth Bale. Only Moussa Sissoko and Lucas survive from the team that started against Brentford on Tuesday

TEAM FORM: - Marine - DW ----- Spurs - LWDWW ------ (All Competitions)

We will be hoping to record more domestic cup success when we face off against eighth-tier side Marine AFC in the third round of the FA Cup.
We comfortably overcame 10-man Brentford 2-0 in midweek to advance to the EFL Cup final, where we will face holders Manchester City after they beat bitter rivals Manchester United in the other semi-final on Wednesday. We are now in a terrific position to end our 13-year trophy drought, but our record in the FA Cup is less than satisfactory having been knocked out in the fifth round to Norwich City last season.

The Northern Premier League minnows stunned Colchester in the first round and then Havant & Waterlooville in the second to set up a home tie against us at Rossett Park - though Covid-19 restrictions will sadly mean Marine fans will not be present to see the biggest game in their club’s history. Marine will be hoping for a little (or a lot) of that FA Cup magic, but we are built for knockout football - and without a raucous home crowd to make things difficult, we should make light work of their opponents.

We are competing on four fronts, and with the fixtures coming thick and fast in an already truncated season, are guaranteed to rotate our line-up. Bale, Lo Celso and Doherty are all injured and expected to miss the trip to Liverpool. As for Hojbjerg, our midfielder received a nasty cut on his shin in the win over Brentford, but Mourinho predicts he will be fine to play.

One man who will be hoping for an opportunity to impress is Brazilian forward Carlos Vinicius. Since joining us in the summer from Benfica he has made just four starts, all in the Europa League. In those matches, the 25-year-old has taken eight shots and netted three times for a conversion rate of 38%, impressive for a player who has had little game time. He is likely to come in for Harry Kane, and he will fancy his chances of getting on the scoresheet against opponents from the eighth tier of the English football pyramid. Although Jose is expected to field a much-changed side, we will be confident of winning and racking up a decent score in the process.

I wonder what condition their pitch is in. It would be our luck to have another game postponed, this time due to a frozen pitch...

Weather is meant to be fine for Sunday, 7oC so if there is a frozen pitch, I'd be worried haha

Just saw on BBC news that their striker is a refuse collector, handling the bins of thousands of different households week after week. What could possibly go wrong from a COVID perspective ........

They are being tested. Bin men round here wear gloves so as long as he does the same and dispose of them and sanitise after he would be fine.

They had their final round of testing last night so its likely we'll hear the outcome of their results later today

You do know bin men don't rub the rubbish in their face, right?
????? you learn something new every day on SC!

On a serious note, they are on the front line along with Royal Mail workers and supermarket workers. I appreciate they wear gloves etc, but they are handling the bins of multiple households and despite wearing gloves could easily come in to contact with contaminated bins and waste.

Anyway, with the current rate of transmission we’re all likely to catch it so I guess we just keep our fingers crossed.

Read yesterday about clubs refusing to approve loan deals to Marine due to their potential lack of game time after this one.

They been trying to bolster the troops in the week running up to the game or something?
