What is the consensus on here if Conte steers us into 3rd.......ie above Pool Newcastle and Manu

Stay or go.....

Go, there is still something not right with the team/management if we only turn up to a game every now and then. If we played like we did today (or the city game) in other games we would be up in 3rd or 2nd by now easily

To add to my last post referring to the FACup defeat. Today was the first time since the Chelsea game we played with Davis at LWB and a front 3 of Kane, Richarlison and one of Son or Kulusevski. It the first win since the Chelsea game and the only game since then we’ve scored a goal in. It’s just a pity nobody seemed to realize this is our best starting line up and that it should have started all of the last 3 games(except Dier couldn’t play in the Milan game but I would have started Sanchez at CCB, shock horror, to retain the basic lineup). Might have made a whole lot of difference to our season and the general mood around the club.

I’m a big Richy fan but he’s so weak. He needs to hit the gym if he wants to play in the centre and hold up play.

Weak, or willfully goes down appealing for a foul whenever he’s faced with contact?

It’s a bit of column A column B as he’s demonstrated some great strength at times, and then looks like a dainty pipsqueak at others.

He's gone regardless.

For the sake of his reputation he'll be desperate to end the season oh a high, I think. "Top 4 with a club like Tottenham...it is a very special achievement. It is like to win a cup in other leagues" but even if we have a great run-in he's off this summer.

Utterly braindead from Kulusevski. He is in abysmal form.
I said this at the start of the thread and got downvoted with at least 3 people piling on saying he should be in the first 11.

He’s a bottom of the table winger at best, yes he did well last year but I’m starting to think it was a one season wonder type deal, whereas Bentancur pushed on and became even better.

Starting to get a bit concerned with Deki, he hasn’t looked anywhere near the player since he returned from injury. If it’s still lingering then I’d rather we shut him down

A few random observations - Porro next to Romero is so much more confident than Porro next to Sanchez/Tanganga.

Skippy is growing up before our very eyes. Still room to grow, but looks to have a great foundation to build from.

Richarlison brings a level of energy that we need in the attacking end - we will have to figure out the creative part, but I saw more industry from Kane and Son today with Richarlison than I have seen in a while.

Its been said a few times - but Davies is our best LWB right now - and I would not mind keeping him as a back-up going into next season, if we play with wingbacks.

Pleasantly surprised by the play of Kane today - worked all over the pitch. Did a bit more coming back for the ball, then releasing Richarlison and/or Porro. Also tracked back defensively a few times when required. That is a good sign for the rest of the year.

A good win and overall a good performance.
Nevertheless we showed a lack of match savviness in the last quarter of the game. It could well have ended up as a repeat of the WH 3-3 result. Against better opposition we would have been punished. Another example of our lack of mental toughness and a winning mentality.

If we sign Kulu on a permanent in the summer do we get the new signing bump from him again and he’ll start being a baller again? That’s how it works right?

I actually thought Kulu looked good when he came on (pen aside). Certainly better than he has when he's started recently.

Very nearly scored a nice goal that was well blocked, put in a few crosses, did a great feint to create a break but then over-ran it.

Not as good as he was last season but certainly not bad today. I think competing with Rich for his spot will spur him on.
