My son has won the bet, despite all the protestations and threats not to go today I will be there. I will be singing and getting behind the players and as usual if there is booing I won’t be taking part in it, I don’t boo the Spurs. I can understad that. Same here. No way am I paying out to travel a 300mile round trip, ticket, food, etc to be bored shitless. If I lived up the road then that may be different.
Nobody wants to pay to be entertained and be bored stiff. That applies in any form of entertainment, and thats what football is.
It's not about just winning but winning or losing well.
Sport should be competing to win not set up not to lose.
Setting up not to lose is how we have been since Poch left. It's awful.
I'd personally take mid table and the odd cup playing exciting, attacking, give everything football, over watching the football equivalent of a game of chess. Thats how its become for me. When you reach the point where you're actually glad a gae isnt on the tv and you cant be arsed to watch MOTD then I think its time for a change.
Hope Conte goes soon and we get some investment to take us where we should be.
Obviously want us to win today but does it matter if our goal isnt to win trophies just get top 4?
