Do you feel it was a fluid, attacking, high tempo game? It was pedestrian pace against a team there for the beating
The same problems persist because the same formation and tactics persist. Obviously pleased with the win, but we won’t play many teams that bad and it all felt rather hollow after the Sheffield Utd and Milan losses. Too little, too late.Do you feel it was a fluid, attacking, high tempo game? It was pedestrian pace against a team there for the beating
Maybe my 20 years as a season ticket holder and 600+ games I’ve attended give me an expectation of what a good performance looks like where I can look past a score lineFluid...yes, attacking...yes...high tempo...no. I thought it was a good performance against a poor side, but still a good performance in which we played on the front foot pretty much the whole game. I find it odd that you thought it wasn't great.

This season, MLS has been trialling the "Off-Field Treatment Rule", meaning that players who don't get back on their feet within 15 seconds have to be taken off the field for treatment and are not allowed to rejoin play for 3 minutes. It'll be interesting to see how this impacts player behaviour. This happened against Chelsea as well. We were on attack, one of theirs went down...ref stops play then gives ball back to them. Infuriating.
As most people on here know, Ive had a (Platinum) season ticket 34 years, follow us home and away and have seen us over 1000+ times. What that has given me is perspective, rather than an entitled expectation. Moreover, its enabled me look past a caustic, bitter, puerile dislike of a manager/player and give credit where it is due.
But I understand every fan chooses how they wish to support the club and not everyone will do it in a way I consider positive.
Absolutely did thank you! It was a very different experience to the one I feared…I was concerned it might be a flat, dull performance where the crowd started to turn. That early Richy ‘goal’ lifted the mood and it kept rising from there. To see Kane and Son score was a bonus. Excellent day and another child converted to the Spurs family. Thanks for asking!Well I can't recall whom, but I did read at least a couple of you were taking children/grandchildren to their first game yesterday.
Hope you all enjoyed the experience and created a great memory.
They certainly did enjoy it, 2 more converts to the Spurs famiy, (3 if you count their Mum).Well I can't recall whom, but I did read at least a couple of you were taking children/grandchildren to their first game yesterday.

lol what about the multiple other chances we missed before they score? All ifs and butsAs good as a performance we have seen lately against the worst away team in the league. The pen goes in and iT becomes a panic with a couple of mins left and not so comfortable
But the penalty didn't go in and we should have been out of sight even further. There wasn't enough time for them to get a third even if it did go in anyways. As good as a performance we have seen lately against the worst away team in the league. Yeah it wasn’t a criticism at all mate. Just saying we view it differently that’s all.Feel free to look at most my posts. I’ve been strongly behind Conte up until last couple of weeks capitulation and I still don’t blame him for most of our issues. Anyway, agree to disagree
That was the best team we have to play in that formation probably. You can choose between Son or Kulusevski, but Richarlison adds some dynamism that’s been missing. The wingbacks were very good yesterday and I’m already a big Porro fan.Whether it was a good performance or not I'll leave to other people to argue but what nobody can argue with is that it was a different performance. Our use of wide forward running wingbacks outdid anything we've seen this season and good as Emerson has been recently, and I'm his biggest fan, Pedro Porro highlighted his deficiencies in that role for all to see. We are going to have a decision to make every week now as to whether Emerson defending or Porro attacking are what we need. Also have to praise Davies on the other side who, sad to say, offered more than Perisic lately.
Amazing what happens when our midfield start passing forwards quickly. Skipp was a bit hit and miss accuracy wise, but at last we gave an opposing defence something to think about. Instead of allowing them to all shuffle back into position while we fanny about inside our own half, we had balls going in behind, into channels and willing runners. Porro and Davies also made some great forward runs and we actually got the ball to them rather than play safe. Shame it’s all a bit too late. That was the best team we have to play in that formation probably. You can choose between Son or Kulusevski, but Richarlison adds some dynamism that’s been missing.
