You can see how players fell out with Souness when he was a manager. It would be so easy.

He was slagging someone else off the other day before a game too, can’t remember who it was now but I thought same as you at time no wonder he pissed off so many players under him (in particular at Liverpool who he ruined lol).

Chris Coleman has been really good on commentary

I was watching somewhere and had someone that sounded suspiciously like Keown, wasn't terrible but wasn't exactly blinding either!

On another note I was watching elsewhere the other week which was obviously from Ireland and I don't know if they have different advertising rules but it was blissful; not one sodding gambling advert, improves a match day experience a hundred fold.

Lucas is fine when played alongside quality like Bale, Kane and Son, his energy and industry is a great compliment to their class. It’s a different story when we rely on him to be the quality, alongside Bergwijn, Sissoko or even Lamela to some extent his technical limitations are exposed
The first goal was classic Moura nicking the ball off the defender, he's so sharp in those situations.

every time bale appeared before this period, he didn't look quite right didn't he? he seem to be trusting his body more now and pushing harder

I think the realisation that he would have to go back to Madrid at the end of the season if he didn’t improve has finally dawned on him!

Good performance and played some good stuff .
So frustrating in the first half ( last 20 mins) at times giving the ball away and silly fouls . Kane, winks, Pierre, son, doc especially. Knew the palace goal was coming.
But thought Bale , reggie were great again, ball retention improving ( apart from odd blips) and a solid shape . Decent from Sanchez and Toby again .

Very pleasing win.

Here's hoping that Moura has earned a bit more appreciation for his output as opposed to the usual pre match bashing before a ball is kicked.

He has driven forward and broke the lines on numerous occasions of late, and his hard work led to one goal, and he had a hand in another yesterday.

Lamela is such a nice option to have from the bench. Tactically smart in terms of game management, always wants the ball and always an injection of pure intensity. Just when the opponents glad to see the back of Bale, on comes this madman, hell bent on making life living hell for you for the 20 odd minutes he has on the pitch.

He was so good. Thought all our subs were excellent.

The two clear heroes are obvious. But Lucas was heavily involved in 3 of the goals and Lamela's pass to son was WORLD CLASS. Lucas was my MOTM yesterday. Worked tirelessly and was superb. Lamela when he came on just piled on more misery on Palace.

I would just like to point out to the "we have bang average players" brigade, that we have now scored 13 and coceded 1 in our last 4 maches. And don't start on the "quality" of the opposition. Just ask Liverpool what they think about it.

I think all 3 subs were used in a way that suited them perfectly.

Lamela came on, worked hard, closed down and drove forward.
Sissoko sat, used his physicality and helped keep it tight.
Vinicius gave Kane a rest.

I've been critical of Jose's substitutions in a number of matches this season but yesterday he got it just right.

I wish Coleman was on sky more, someone who actually speaks sense.

True. Although the slight sniffle he has at the start & end of each sentence, along with sounding ever so slightly bunged up.

It doesn't half sound like he's just finished a line of chop before it's his turn to talk.

A friend told me what that sounds like. Honest! :cautious:
