Not sure why people are dismissing Emerson so much. He wasn't good against Wolves but largely in attack. Skipp offers no more in attack and is less agile. Also I think people underestimate the role of a fullback. The idea of playing someone completely new to the position is a massive risk. I can't see why we would experiment when we're not in great form either. I appreciate everyone has their opinions but this right back midfielder suggestion is a bit mad to be honest.Skippy at right back. He wants them to play in midfield so put a midfield player in there. Skippy will give it everything , can tackle and pass the ball.
I hope Bissouma is on it today
He needs to be. Needs to pull his socks up and get back to dominating those midfield battles.
list what attributes porro brings to a team and then list what attributes emerson brings, is there any overlap whatsoever other than they are both considered to be "right backs"? we are constantly talking about wanting players of a certain profile so i don't see why it's madness to consider other options who are closer in terms of being a stylistic fit. you think of emerson as a right back but in this team he's a better cb than a rb, though still not ideal as his lack of ability on the ball is a problem no matter where you put him.Sorry but "let's not play our backup RB and instead shoehorn a different player in there" is madness.

Speed , a good shot, a lot of attacking vibes, sounds more like deki then skipp ;plist what attributes porro brings to a team and then list what attributes emerson brings, is there any overlap whatsoever other than they are both considered to be "right backs"? we are constantly talking about wanting players of a certain profile so i don't see why it's madness to consider other options who are closer in terms of being a stylistic fit. you think of emerson as a right back but in this team he's a better cb than a rb, though still not ideal as his lack of ability on the ball is a problem no matter where you put him.
i expect emerson will start, hopefully he has a better game than he did last time out.
