I am honestly starting to believe that IFAB's constant fiddling with the laws of the game has progressive made it impossible for refs to have any consistancy in their decision making.

Interesting to see what half time changes Ange makes.

Onfield ref should have given a pen. Can't blame VAR for not overturning
Yes you can. This bs about clear and obvious error is just an excuse to protect the referee from blame over missing obvious decisions. It’s either a foul or it’s not a foul and if it is then VAR should ask the referee to have another look at it.

Shouldn’t Joffrey Archer be preparing for the World Cup in India soon instead of picking up yellow cards against us?

I definitely think this is a big part of it for some laws and situations, particularly handball of course, but a simple kick to the ankles has to be spotted at any level.

Definitely clear and obvious mistake. The referees guild not wanting to “out” their pal on the pitch.

Of course it should but with them fiddling around with the high bar for changing the on-field decision it can't help.

Don't give them an easy excuse. The refs are also poor.
