Sitting on train home from Victoria so finally able to get on here. Don't know how it came across on TV, but I thought we were in control for the majority of the game.

Also a question to those who have gone since covid and last season, has Metallica always been in the intro or is it a new thing for this season?

No, Metallica was new today. A welcome surprise. I wonder who changed it to that. A good choice.

Did we not play out from the back? That’s very not Conte ball. Are you sure? (Haven’t seen the game myself yet)
Naturally we didn't just lump it long, but there was none of the usual nonsense from Hugo and Co passing it in and around the 18 yd box
Lloris isn't good enough with his feet to justify some of the to me to you that used to go on. It all was much more forward focused. I haven't seen a rerun yet, so of course can be wrong. Watching live I'm just reacting to the overall feel of the game, rather than doing an in depth analysis

So watching it back as the Sky game of the day. Why wasn't that handball a penalty? It stops the ball going in doesn't it? What annoys me is two years ago that would have been given.

I will say, I was a bit disappointed at the stadium, in terms of quality.

The beer was a bit too fruity (lines needed cleaning) and I thought the concourse was looking a bit grubby. I got in early and there were loads of stains. Surprised a clean up job hadn’t taken place since Lada Gaga last week.
Either someone at the gaga concert pissed everywhere or someone around me had horrendous personal hygeine. The area stank (never had that problem before)

Kane had one effort really well stopped and really should have been found by Son when he blazed over. We scored 4 with neither Son or Kane getting close to their best and that’s pretty encouraging. We were so dangerous from wide areas and we’re only going to get stronger as Perisic gets fitter, Richarlison comes back, Spence starts learning the system etc. We really could have had 6 or 7 and I still don’t think we got out of 2nd gear. Oh and Bentancur and Kulusevski are still amazing and getting better!

The scoffing at our result has started.

Agbonlahor: "It was only Southampton." repeatedly.

Yes, that Southampton we lost to at home last year. That typical team that pundits continuously state that "if Spurs are to do well, they need to do better against these types".

Consistently moving the goalposts these 'pundits'.

The stadium’s anything but disappointing. What gets me though is the queue for a beer -every week it’s the same. Just pour pints in advance - it will get drunk.

Great result today though.
Almost seemed too easy

I don't mind, I want Spurs to stay under the radar as much as possible. We as a club do not handle pressure and expectations well.

Yep. I listen to TS when I commute and this guy has by far the most moronic takes on things, and that's saying something. He never has anything nice to say about us.

Bent isn't much better, but he's not quite as bad.

Beer was absolute crap today and queued for well over 30 mins
I say this all the time but honestly tell them, they will want to know. It's DL's baby if something's off speak up (just don't swear at them, goes without saying) he wants a a top drawer match day experience to be had by everyone (I get people have doubts about him and other parts of the club business but on the stadium side that's something personal to him)
Likewise it does no harm to tell them when you've had an amazing experience/staff member go that bit beyond to help out etc.

Just watched the match on match choice. Have to say that Royal was very good today - got up and down the pitch, defended well and got in some excellent attacking positions. Was the key for the 3rd and 4th goals. More please.
