The right players at the right price simply won't be available in January. We will get a couple in Im sure but don't expect anything major. Possibly if Richy went to Saudi , we might go for Toney but odds against until next summer. We also don't have the squad spaces for many signings
Agree to a point but find it hard to believe i scouts and transfer team can't find players better suited gor Ange style in January.
Only need 2 players in January and they dn't need to be big signings but players better suited to our new style and add better quality in depth.

This team is crying out for Maddison the way they try and walk the ball into the net now
He’s the only one that can put it on a plate for someone

The longer the season goes the more we’ll miss Kane (which isn’t surprising even though some people thought we wouldn’t!!!!)

Kind of tired of hearing about our injuries now. Like I got it a couple weeks ago but 1 by 1 we've got quality players back. We should have won these last 2 home games simple as. To score 1 goal in each of our last 3 is just not good enough. We may not see Maddison and Son together until February so we need to sort it out with what we have.

Jesus Christ, went to Chelsea and then this tonight...

Should of smashed them first half.

Was Lo Celso inured?

Was baffled why he came off

Yes, agree with that and Im sure we will get a couple in ( ex Celtic jota?) but you don't get the real top players in January.

Ange isn’t to blame for the pace of Udogie’s back pass or a deflection of a post. It’s been a shit period, but people need to chill out. We battered them first half, but we just don’t have the quality in certain positions.
Yeah people do.

This is totally normal.

Klopp's Liverpool were hammering teams for 60 then getting suckerpunched.

City were being 'naive' when pep first came in as his defenders couldn't play to his style.

Ange is finding out he needs wingers who are going to be braver, go both ways and take more shots.

I actually think if we had that we get away with having to play Davies and Hojbjerg.

But when your wingers don't do that, it puts more pressure on the defence and midfield and players like Hojbjerg cant save you

We are where I thought we’d be before the start of the season, playing good football but very erratic. Set for about 7th position in the league. A very good first 11 and unlucky with injuries. We need a top centre half who can fight for a first team place who fits the system and another centre half as a back up if we lose two. A top striker and some creativity , maybe another winger or attacking midfielder for some depth. Ship out Dier, Gill, Davies, Hoijberg, Skipp, Richarlison. Must get 70-80 million for them. Add another 60 million and we’can get what we need.
A bit of luck with the Liverpool game , ffs have we paid for that since.

So how do you sort it out with our lack of creation without Maddison and our lack of goals without Kane?

With each passing game you can see the confidence infront of goal draining out of them…

Just seen the game. Shocked at how even with a new manager and new players we still manage to lose games we dominate. We still concede absolutely stupid goals.
Thanks to the great start we made I guess we are still ahead of expectations but I am worried that we seem to be trying to walk the ball into the net. The lack of a cutting edge is a worry. No Madison means we have not only lost his goals but what he creates for Son.
Anyway let’s hope this is just a blip

Not quite sure how we have managed not to pick up more points recently.

Anyhow, love the philosophy and the style. With a few more decent recruits and less bad luck with injuries…… we are gonna be a force.

This season was always about transition

Hopefully he recognises that some of this is on him as well.
Hmmm.

Only a small portion.

Anges faults tonight.

Starting Hojbjerg? But was Sarr even ready to start?

Bringing on Skipp? Maybe but again, is Sarr able to come on in that scenario and help control the middle with Bissouma also tiring?

Playing Johnson instead of Gil? Nah not really..

My only gripe is Son not going left sooner as I think he is the only one who is willing to shoot.

You also have to take into account that the first 15 we absolutely abliterated them. They could not get a foot on the ball.

So he got the set up correct fron the start just players didnt take chances.

Slowly we tired and you could see some players couldn't physially match West Ham.

Hojbjerg
Skipp
Lo Celso
Davies
Richarlison
Gil

A good group of players there that Ange is probably gonna want gone.

They are not his kind of players or blow too hot and cold.

This past window gave us a core but it didnt give Ange the pieces to make changes when we have injuries or games are getting away from us.

The next phase is to now flesh out the squad so we don't have these problematic changes.

Do people honestly think Ange is starting Hojbjerg or bringing on Skipp or letting Deki get away with being wasteful if he has depth?

Why do people always want Davies out. He's a solid player.

I thought tonight was poor all round , Porro and Romero were good , the rest bang average and 2nd half we made it so comfortable for West Ham , we wouldn’t have scored if we played till Xmas . I’m concerned this continues till end of jan and we can’t keep needing to score 3 goals to win a game . We let in 2 goals to a team tonight that came for a 0-0 and we’re wasting time at 1 nil down .
