Maybe sissoko would be a good CM alongside Gio

Have they played together before?

It’s honestly baffling me why he’s continuing to treat Ndombele like this. It’s, maybe surprisingly for some, the only issue I have with Mourinho at the moment.

You can’t brief journalists that Ndombele has been brilliant during lockdown and openly say Ndombele is ready to go, only to drop him to the bench for GLC who he also admits has been carrying an injury for the entirety of lockdown.

We really do have a good squad. Such a strong team and bench.

Could we do with a defensive upgrade or two? Sure, but that team should do so much better than it has.

Gonna smash this West Ham team 4-0

Can't believe Alli walks back into the team.

Totally undeserved on this season's form and we have to shift everything around to accommodate him.

Bergwijn will be lethal off the bench. With the games coming thick and fast, there is naturally a need for rotation.

Ndombele hasn’t really earned a place in the starting XI. Sissoko certainly deserved to keep his place after United (and is among our fittest players so naturally needs less rest), and GLC is clearly ahead of Ndombele in the pecking order. It will be a concern if he doesn’t get off the bench, mind.
Don't we have 11 days off after this?

That must be fairly close to the team we put out in the other fixture against West Ham no? I remember Lucas, Son, Kane and Dele all featuring.

Tanguy will get his chance. Convinced of it. The manager is having to juggle an balanced squad with no options at deep lying midfielder. Then also has problem at centre back and full back.
I don’t think he believe he can play a 4-3-3 with the players in the defence and midfield at his disposal yet. He has also gone for Dele as it will be two up front almost. West Ham have picked three defensive midfielders which tells it’s own tale.

Team looks very familiar, which I'm not sure is a good thing. If it's more of what we've seen up to this point it may be painful viewing.
In general I think it's a good thing, at least the players SHOULD know their jobs in the system.

Looks like we’ll be needing 2 new centre backs in the summer with Vertonghen out of contract and Alderweireld again left on the bench.

What are you looking 4 centre halfs to start? If Jose believes the centre half pairing of Dier / Sanchez is the best, that would leave next season of Toby and Tanganga - plus still Foyth as back ups. Centre half is not where I would be placing limited funds - rather have a RB / DM and back up striker.

Can't see a midfield with Ali and lo Celso in the same areas working, hope I am wrong, but just think we will lose the midfield battle again.

Same with Lucas, after I thought Bergwijn was our best offensive player last game.

But I guess because Lucas works hard... dumb!

I'm sure I'll get hammered for saying this, but I'd love to see Ndombele play in a free role behind Kane instead of Alli. He'd have less defensive duties and he's our most creative player.

Alli works hard but I think Ndombele is way more talented.

I think it might be more to do with a few challenges he got in the United game, seemed to look a bit sore after them and then came off.

Not particularly happy with N'Dombele on the bench again. If he doesn't get a chance in this game he is done at this club.

Yes, but Bergwijn is coming off of a serious ankle injury that was supposed to end his season had it not been for the lockdown, and was visibly hobbled by a knock he took against United. Who knows what his medical status is but it's not surprising to me that he isn't starting back-to-back.
