Or it might actually make him splash the cash. I bet him and lewis love the revenue the CL brings in and they would do what they could to get back in there.

Its also interesting your views on the game today. A few would say we played well today but individual mistakes cost us but you make out we were very poor overall.
I wont be holding my breath on that one.

Odd, then, that the Southampton fans we usually hear from are the ones angry that he chose to leave that club. Resentful about it for some years, actually.
Maybe, but Southampton fans were saying this before he left the club. It was quite well documented at the time. No doubt Poch is talented working within his own framework & style, but was never great outside of it.

Deli, winks and Lucas and probably Serge needs to be dropped especially Winks is not effective in the position he currently occupies
Until he doesn't play, then 'we miss him'... (we can insert any player's name in place of Winks, and it's always the same). Rinse & repeat.

Starting to think Winks isn't the answer. I've been behind him for a long time, but he's not really one thing or another.
He's good to keep in the squad but yeah I don't think he's someone we can rely on.

We need a player who can screen better, doesn't necessarily have to be a DM but someone who can cover ground quickly and is aggressive because our midfield is a great big gaping hole most of the time. We need to find a way of keeping teams a good distance from our goal. Whether that's because we have bodies behind goal or not. Under peak-Poch the only way teams could get at us was around the sides or a long punt up field. At the moment we are easy to get at and winks isn't a solution, even playing higher up the pitch.

He hadn't "lost the dressing room". Cast your mind back only a few months to when Pochettino was sacked and how generally stunned — sorry, another cliche — were the players at Spurs. Embarrassed and appalled at their own omissions in the opening weeks of this season, too, if I recall correctly. One of the most appalling episodes in Spurs' history. The shame of it.

Dude, there were plenty of reports around the time that after the champions league final Poch seemed to lose something. Plenty of reports of unrest in the dressing room and we had ITK that said explicitly that if Poch stayed there was a list of top players who would be leaving. I love man, and will always be grateful for everything he did, but it's perfectly clear why he went and why it was the right decision

Yeah I don't like the idea of no CL football, and the lack of finances from it would be a blow but we've built some good teams under Redknapp and Poch to get into the CL so it's not the end of the world. Poch even got us 3rd whilst in the Europa.

The key is spending wisely. I think we've lost our way in regards to recruitment, mostly cause of CL. Too ambitious when our MO was always getting bright talents with an odd one or two players who were established.

I thought we played very well in the first half and I was utterly astounded when I saw that at one point we had about 75% possession. I’d rather continue playing like this and finish 7th than get results for results sake and finish 4th only to then have to readjust our game plan next season. If Jose fan build upon this season like Poch did off of 14/15 I’ll be a happy camper.

I understand where we are at these days as a club, and it isn’t pretty but we just have to get through it. Judgements and protest can wait til next season. It’s all about just getting trough to the end.

Man for man, does anyone actually think that we have superior players to wolves? Our scouting and purchasing has been shocking. Average players with poor technique and intelligence in several positions.

Joe Lewis could not care less about Spurs - we are less than a blip on his radar, our profits less than he makes in interest sitting on his yacht every week.

i have been a season ticket holder since Klinsman joined us, and have been to hundreds of games with my late Dad, late Father in law, my two kids, and today my two grandchildren went with my Son to the game. I am probably the same as many supporters that were at the match today, just happy that the family are all Spurs. If we win, we cheer, if we lose, we keep quiet. Please, just enjoy what being a Spurs fan brings you, good and bad, but please , if you want to slag the team or the management off, just remember that they really want the same as us....

Winks is a Marmite player. For me he looks great in a team that is dominating but he himself will never be that player that dominates the midfield himself.

Too often he plays it safe/ square . I want to see him take more risks, even if that means giving up possession now and again. I’d rather he try it and it doesn’t come off than be safe.

I think that Lo Celso can do the Winks role and do it better than him. I’m more worried about N’Dombele. He has talent but his professionalism appears questionable and his game awareness. Even when he came on a number of times players ran off him and he just ambled back.
