Do you think Conte will give him a chance to prove himself? A full international in good form working his butt off. I think Conte knows a player when he sees one.
Parrott's resurgence has actually come from playing LW in a 3-4-3, so could be very useful to have in the squad since he can play LW and CF in Conte's formation, whilst also being classed as U21 in domestic and UEFA comps. However, in 31 starts (and 7 Sub apps) in League One, he has 8 goals and 6 assists, so not the most encouraging (for comparison, MK Dons RW has 16 goals and 13 assists), so probably would hope for a Championship loan unless he had an amazing preseason.

Just seen that he is current out scoring Kane's old rivals, who are in the same league, Saido Berahino and Connor Wickham.

To be fair, he seems to have discovered goals recently, hard work and confidence who knows what level he would be at next season.

Out of interest besides Dele has pleat ever unearthed any other gems ? I find it mildly amusing every time he’s linked with watching a player Spurs Twitter accounts have a melt down like we’ve found the next Gazza.

Huddlestone, Lennon, Kyle Walker...
Basically, he's our lower league English football expert because he knows, quite literally, everybody.
Like any scout he's not going to get everyone right but he lets us know if there is anyone down there with the raw talent enough to be moulded into something.

Add James Maddison to the list. He decided to go to Norwich so he would get games.
Pleat said recently on the spurs show pod that it is really difficult to find good players in the lower leagues.
Could this be because under the triple P youth plan if anyone shows a lot of promise at 15 or 16, they are snapped up by premier lge clubs. Would have thought we would have been in for Carvalho at Fulham. Seems Liverpool have got him for around 10m.

Yeah was hoping we'd bid for Carvalho. Not sure why he'd ever pick us over them but might at least try.

The spurs show interview he did was well worth a listen to get an insight to what he does. Just how much football he watches his opinions on how things work.

I've always meant to listen to that but never found the time when it came out and completely forgot about it. So cheers, I might try and find it now.

There is a lad in the area we live in who has just been signed by one rival in a higher league from another at the age of 13 for £75k.

The scouting of lower league youth players is getting younger and younger these days. It's pretty crap to be fair.

I know WBA have been raided recently by Chelsea and Villa for their best young youth players. I feel sorry for the Baggies as it well known in the Midlands they have one of the best academy systems and they have continued to get screwed over.

If what you say is correct then I wouldn't be feeling sorry for West Brom because they are clearly allowing it to happen.

Is there not something quite distasteful with clubs paying money for boys who are 13yrs old.
The fact that boys sign on with a club from 9 yrs old is ridiculous. It makes boys, and more importantly their parents, believe that they are going to be professional footballers. Dreams of
, money and more money Nothing could be further from the truth
I don’t think anyone should sign for a club until 14yrs of age.
