Completely forgot about Uefa youth league that’s a lovely bonus. We will have lots of content next season. Someone remind me does it include 2nd year scholars or just 1st ?

uyl is an u19 tournament so all 1st years(u17), 2nd years(u18) and "3rd years"(u19) are eligible. plus up to five u20s as long as they were born after the turn of the year(for next season's tournament that will mean those born in 2003).

Spurs academy will be competing in the @TerborgToernooi again with games in Holland on 27, 28 and 29 May. We have been drawn alongside Fluminense, KRC Genk and De Graafschap.

Told the squad fly out from Luton tomorrow.

Also told we’re taking quite an experienced squad with the only first years travelling set to be

Axel Piesold, who was released a few weeks into his scholarship earlier this season due to injury has turned up at Dunstable. He made his senior debut, starting for them in their last game of the season and earned himself a MOTM performance.

Interesting must be a story behind us having 3 from 1 club. Maybe we’ve agreed to loan them someone for next season like Devine or do we not need Watford permission for this ?

Bit short on defenders. Are the likes of Paskotsi, Muir and Cessay not eligible?

We’ll hear shortly that most of the second years have been released.

Interesting must be a story behind us having 3 from 1 club. Maybe we’ve agreed to loan them someone for next season like Devine or do we not need Watford permission for this ?

We did the same taking 3 from Ipswich a few years ago including Ben Knight who went to City. I think it’s just a good experience for the Watford lads but also keeps a good relationship between the clubs.

Makes me wonder how we plan to fulfil our PL2, FA Trophy and UEFA Youth League commitments. Hope it doesn’t mean players who would benefit from a loan being held back. The downside of bringing players in at this age is meeting the three year rule for club trained players.

On the upside we must be bringing quite a few in that we’ve scouted which is quite exciting.
