A loan to Ipswich for Devine could be good all round, promoted with a good setup there now and should be ok this season, and I would think we have a strong relationship still with Kieran McKenna.

He certainly wouldn't do what that **** Johnnie Jackson did to Nile when he was on loan at Charlton. Woolwich prick.

Pleasantly surprised to see Nile get a new deal as I thought he'd stalled somewhat.
Yeah, I really hope we've got someone who will focus on getting decent loans for these lads.
I'm sure we used to be pretty good at using loans to develop talent, often sending two youngsters to the same club to help them settle.

Feels like that fell apart under Poch and we haven't managed to get it quite right since, apart from probably Skipp but then he kinda forced that himself.

I know he's now one of our assistants so probably won't get involved heavily (at all) but I think that was jedinak's role at villa

Yeah, I'm hoping that Ange and his gang will have a big focus on the academy because a lot of them appreciate that side of things.
Jeds' done it before, Mason came through the system and Ange appears to really value working your way up.

Fingers crossed that we continue to see the improvement that Paratici started.

So which players would benefit most from a loan next season and what level do you think we should be looking at for them?

Devine has to go out to a championship club, absolutely no lower.

Scarlett I'd send to a championship club too.

I reckon Craig would also benefit from a loan too, maybe championship, if not then League One.

Josh Keeley I'd send out too, maybe League one for him, but depends on where he'll play each week.

I think Paskotski, assuming has recovered from his health issues, would definitely benefit from a loan, probably league one for him.

I think Dorrington would also do well out on loan, maybe League One, but not totally sure what level is best for him.

I think loans are the order of the day considering we won't have the European games to give any extra game time.
Additionally, I hope in this season of opportunity Ange really goes hard for both cups. Rarely do we get an opportunity due to falling out of Europe so let's make it worthwhile

Parrott and Scarlett listed with the reserves but White with the first team. I don’t suppose too much can be read into it.

White was promoted to the first team last season. Parrott has been out on loan so no reason to do the same while he's not with the club. Expect Ange to take a look at him preseason and decide what to do with him.

the 2 used against Leeds were Matthew Craig and George Abbott.

Not sure how Ange sees it but my top talents in the academy are Devine, Moore, Dorrington, Donley (in no order). I dont see other players showing premier league potential. An honourable mention to Kyrematen though
Nice cheers mate. Do you not rate Craig or Abbott then? What positions are all of those players you’ve mentioned and the 2 above?

Unless I'm mistaken we always seem to have a few industrious types that come in under the radar and I guess Craig is a bit like that. But with all the bloat in the first team I can't see where and how academy players can get opportunities unless the clear out is in full swing

Think age might play a part as well, White isn't U21 any more.
The only overage player listed with the reserves is Lyons-Foster.

Happy to read the latest article in the Ange thread.
It would seem that all of our coaching staff are totally up for using the academy and helping the youth progress.
They all have a history with academy football, so that's a brilliant thing as far as I'm concerned, especially with some of the potential we currently seem to have.

Watched Kion Etete in the flesh today for 45 mins. Was against Welsh Prem side (NL standard) but he looked a handful. Seems like he’s filled out a bit. Final product not there yet but they seem quite optimistic about him down there.
