I hope that when we get everything sorted behind the scenes with Munn or a DOF - that the coaching techniques and drills that Postecoglou uses for the senior team make their way to the U18s and U21s - so those players are more prepared to step into Ange's tactics. Even the younger teams could benefit from some of that philosophy being incorporated along with sound fundamentals.

I think it's been said that Ange wants the u21's to mirror the first team, so I'd think that means formation, training drills and everything.

Not sure about the younger groups, maybe because the players tend to be more flexible in where they play at those levels? The youth watchers are better qualified to talk about that than I am.

It'll certainly be interesting to see what he does with the academy lads because that's one of the biggest plusses on getting him in, for me anyway.
I'm really hoping at least a couple of them impress enough in these next few weeks to earn his respect and consideration.

Barely seen Troy in any of the training videos. Hope he didn't get injured again.
Is he back yet? May have been on international duty or something like Skipp.
I think a lot of our players will be eager to get back early, as Udogie is rumoured to be doing, so as to get to know the boss and hopefully impress him.

Yeah, he's been back since the 1st day of pre-season. I've been keeping tabs on the academy players and haven't seen any sign of Troy in the training videos, so I have to imagine he's dealing with an injury of some sort.

That's gotta be frustrating for the poor lad, if it is indeed the case.
He's due to go on the tour too, isn't he?

Good question, I hope he makes the cut for the tour but I have a weird feeling he's nursing an injury and might not make it.

I know many talk about Devine and a few of the other lads, and obviously we had some debuts in the last game against Leeds, but question to anyone who watches the academy games.. what chances are there of Nile John getting more involvement this season? He got a few Europa League appearances under I think it might have been Nuno?

So we obviously rated him, it’s been a bit of a shit show since but is he still one likely to be pushing the first team with Devine etc?

There will be others far more knowledgeable than me but Nike hasn't really kicked on the last 24 months or so.
A terrible loan didn't help.
Personally, I think we gave a new contract to get some value from him. Sell to a league 1 club, maybe even a championship

Wish we could watch this on SpursPlay but I get that it's a behind closed doors fixture. Will be interesting to see who gets minutes tomorrow.
