I didn't watch loads of Lille last season but I watched him in a game in May and he was the best player on the pitch. Saw shit loads of ball, rarely gave it way, industrious, tidy, tenacious.

This could be a great little bit of business, at the right time in his evolution as a player.

Falcao's knee problem is the worry, although it's not the one he had the operation on. By overcompensating, he hurt himself, and LVG's fitness routine (that has helped Shaw lose 3kg already this pre-season) did him in last year.

Interesting experiment. I would be surprised if Falcao can reach the heights of 2012 but you never know..
