KWP got three first half assists against them at Wembley, surely he can't be as bad as Trippier?

It's evened out a little as Ajax have an important must win league game on Sunday

So we get a day rest over them

I think Poch is actually going to have to make a couple of changes here and freshen it up to try and get us through this and the Ajax game. It's all well and good saying we need to play our strongest team, but for a run of games now we keep selecting them and just simply aren't getting it from some players. Maybe at the weekend it's the one where we do get a response, but on the recent evidence you cant be confident it is going to happen.

I'd go with:

Lloris
Trippier Sanchez Alderweireld Davies
Sissoko/Skipp Dier
Son Eriksen Moura
Janssen

Subs: Gazza, KWP, Rose, Foyth, Sissoko/Skipp, Alli, Llorente

Alli and Eriksen seem to have nothing in the tank at all. I'd like to give both of them a breather before the second leg, but don't think that is possible.

I'd honestly start with Janssen. He'll be keen and at least put himself about. Llorente had 90 minutes here, will probably struggle to go again, and might be needed vs. Ajax considering he was our only outball tonight.

Who knows if Sissoko is ready to start, considering he almost certainly played more minutes than intended tonight. Hopefully he is, but if he isn't I wouldn't want Wanyama and Dier so that leaves Skipp. He's been trusted earlier in the season, do it again. Bournemouth aren't the worst team to drop him in against in my opinion if needed.

Allow Vertonghen time to make the second leg, give him the weekend off.
I agree both Eriksen and Alli needs a rest but if we do that there'll be no creativity.

Strongest line up possible. No resting.

100% Agreed. Win this and it's just a game against Ajax and a potential final to push for with our strongest team. Send out the youth team if we have too on the final day as we would've tied up CL qualification for next season already. If we panel Bournemouth in the first half, pull of the 3 most important players for the Ajax game, let the anothers stroll to a win. If not, fight tooth and nail for a win so we don't have to worry about the final day. We can focus soley on the Ajax fixture.

I disagree. We really need to take a lot of energy to Amsterdam. I would play KWP Foyth Sanchez Davies in defence assuming we are going Trippier Toby Jan Rose in Amsterdam.

I wouldn't risk Son from the start either. If he gets injured we might as well not bother playing the 2nd leg.

We've got to go full strength to the extent we possibly can, this is an absolute must-win game. It may seem a bit ridiculous to hurt our chances in a CL semi for the sake of qualifying for next year's tournament, but the fact of the matter is that qualifying is incredibly important for the medium-term future of the club. We've got to trust in the squad to be able to go again midweek.

Yep,

They have a great attacking quartet in King, Brooks, Wilson and Fraser however their back 4 is marred by injuries.

Their usual back 4 is Smith, Cook, Ake and Daniels. Earlier in the season Daniels was Injured so Smith played Left back and Francis came in at rb though he is usually a CB. They signed Clyne to fill in at RB, However now Daniels is out for season, Smith is also out for season. So Ake has now had to go out to LB but Francis is also injured and Clyne is also a doubt.

So they're missing their first choice fullbacks, one of their main CB's is having to fill in at fullback whilst their main backup CB is out injured and the backup RB is a doubt. I'm pretty confident we can get a result as they're having a torrid time injury wise in defence.
Also looks like Gosling at CM will miss out too.

Because of recent fuck ups, we need to go full strength. If we win this we know we are top 4, which would be a greater boost for the Ajax game than just resting players.
