Guess a little rotation is needed, to get a bigger group in the squad in a good mood.
I'd still play Pierre, Skipp and Kane to have some stability in important places on the pitch.

----------------------Gollini------------------------
--Tanganga-----Sanchez-----Rodon-------Davies----
----------------Hojbjerg-----Skipp-------------------
----Lucas-------------Lo Celso------------Bryan------
----------------------Kane--------------------------

Subs: Lloris, Emerson, Reguilon, Dier, Winks, Dele, Bergwijn, Scarlett, Ndombele, Son, Markanday, Doherty

————————-—Gollini—————————-
-—Tanganga——Sanchez——-Rodon—
Doherty ——Skipp—Winks—-Davies/sess
————lo celso——Bergwijn—-Gil——-

Controversial because Doherty, but we have to use our squad to manage workload. Happy to use Skipp at this point because I expect him to get a suspension relatively soon due to 4 yellows so will miss a league game. (still a flawed argument I admit)
No place for Scarlett after the last game because he looked out of his depth, so would try Bergwijn in a role like depay at Lyon.

Really highlights the two gaping holes in our squad as we only have three deep midfielders and one striker. Need both in January.

It's a shame Sess hasn't been fit to play in our ECL matches, would be a great opportunity for him. We need to move on from Davies imo.

I disagree about him looking out of his depth as he was not getting any service or any change from his colleagues. I saw him taking up very crucial positions and was ignored, and I also saw him falling back to help the fullbacks when needed. He will never "get out of his depth" as you put it, if we do not play him in games like this where it is warranted. Its so frustrating reading how easily people try to dismiss potential based on a single game.

Wont be easy, they have a decent side (esp Openda, Bero Tannane, Rasmussun) with a good support at home,

I’m not dismissing him outright/ I’d love him to be a credible option. Maybe out of his depth was a harsh choice of words.
But in any of the Europa games have you seen anything to suggest he could fill in for Kane? I haven’t.
How would you feel if Kane had tested positive for covid and missed today’s game for example?
I’m just frustrated that we’ve pinned all our hopes on a 17 yr old to cover for one of the best strikers in the world.
Would love to be wrong but right now I don’t think he’s ready

Dele obviously has to start and he really needs to show something special if he wants to get near our 1st team.
