Has Ange ever played with 3 at the back ? I’m guessing not. Just wondered if he might stiffen up the defence for this one .

was always going to be a tough away game anyway now we have lost 75% of our back four .

maybe he could use Hojberg there or Phillips alongside dier and Royal . With Porre and Davies as wingbacks .

Far from ideal but I feel we are going to get hopelessly exposed from a well up for it wolves team in a early Saturday game.

not sure where the creativity is going to come from I guess we are going to rely on getting g the ball forward and hitting them on the break with pace of son and Johnson

Possibly. But it's just another change. I think Ange will leave the personnel fit and available in their normal positions.

Maddison isn't fit and will be out for a while. Johnson is natural on the right. Lo Celso I really really want it work out for me he's yet to prove it.

I hope we play Deki centrally in place of Maddison, he'll smash it.
With all the enforced changes I'd keep as many in their normal positions as possible. So Lo Celso for me and Donley off the bench if Lo Celso doesn't deliver. Ange-style. Go for it!

I been saying this since Chelsea game night. Back3 is way to go and yes Ange has played back3 with Australia & few games with his Japanese side

Who is Donley? Lo Celso has barely played all season, if he's smashing it in training though then yeah that would be ideal.

Calling it now. If the CB pairing is Dier and Davies it will be a total shambles. Would far rather see Phillips given his chance. He’s got pace, height and ability, he only lacks experience. Let’s get started in giving him the latter.

The Davies or Phillips choice is going to be interesting. Of course if Phillips starts then Davies might start LB. Even if he doesn't start I think there is a high chance we will see Phillips as Ange will probably sub the LB at some point.
If we’re going to throw Phillips in it might well be of the thinking he needs two experienced heads either side of him in Davies and Dier.
Hope he’s ready to do a lot of running…..🤣

Re Davies I think Ange values a left footer at lcb for passing out from the back, so this is why he might get the nod. Out of possession though it definitively makes sense to play someone faster.

I still think bissouma makes most sense as he has pace / agility for high line out of possession and composure for passing out from the back in possession (which is just as important). Also means hojberg in at 6 which suits him best and he will surely come into the team somewhere given he’s always been the most trusted sub.

we need to start building a CB partnership that can also take us through villa and city games so I don’t think either Phillips or Davies are the answer personally although either would be ok for wolves.

Lacks the discipline. It’s alright giving niggly fouls away 49 yards from goal but in our own box is a bit different
