Probably should be in the chat thread. But being our ex manager and all, thought he deserves it.

It’s crap really, but I can’t stop watching it for some reason.
Kinda funny in parts I suppose.

Yeah. I'll get around to watching it whenever Apple TV gets some actually decent content or whenever the producers of Ted Lasso move it to Netflix, Prime or Hulu.
agree. Ive already got more streaming services than I can keep track of between Spurs and my kids. if we qualify for Europa I reckon I'll have to subscribe to another.

I’ve only got Apple TV because they gave me it free for 12 months when I bought my iPad.
I definitely wouldn’t pay for it, there’s naff all on it really.

The Beastie Boys live show was pretty good but outside of that a total waste.

I like it, it's cheesy and sweet and a bit wholesome but I can be a bit of a sucker for niceness sometimes
I went into the first 3 episodes thinking it was trying to be a hilarious sitcom type of show, but aside from a lot of people shouting wanker and obvious 'look how different it is to American sports' gags it wasn't funny (and those jokes (?) weren't funny either), but since then it has matured into a better show. Shame it took half of its run to get there.

Huge fan of Jason Sudekis. Great comedian and actor. Always comes across as a bit of a dude as well.
I think it was around the same time he did the Ted Lasso commercials, that he also did a Mumford & Sons music video with Jason Bateman, Ed Helms and Will Forte. Made me crack up.

I thought the original advert was quite funny / well done but based on the trailer for the TV show it looks pretty poor. Can't help but feel they've exhausted the joke already with the adverts and it doesn't look like they've got much genuinely funny material that isn't just recycled from that.

I was in the same camp as @'O Zio when I saw this advertised - a one note joke stretched over a season, cancelled after one.

I binged the first season and am now up to speed with episode 3 of season 2 and I hope this show never gets cancelled. I love Ted Lasso and Richmond are now my second team.

This show has no right to be this wholesome.

Ted Lasso is one of the best things on TV right now, although the start of season 2 hasn't been as strong I think, I'm allowing it due to how great the 1st was.

I'm interested to see where they develop the characters now we know who they are, and what they're all about, will Roy Kent stop being just a grumpy sweary guy? Will Jamie Tart stop being a massive prick? But more importantly, will they get promoted?!

I suspect this season will be coasting a bit - half wonder if the writers were caught out as much as the audience by how fantastic the cast has been or the reception it's got. The way networks pick up and cancel shows in a heartbeat, they might've been half expecting it to be scrubbed (that's almost a Bill Lawrence pun), so the odd filler episode is likely, but it's just so much good chemistry.

Roy and his niece/youth team coach thing absolutely slays me and the Sky Sports slot was savage, but Bill Lawrence has the golden touch it seems.
