In my eyes they build a fantastic structure and when they sell they take the profit - it is not the property of the football club. As I say this is my take I would love someone to say "actually........................"
The club does own the stadium. If and when ENIC fuck off, the new owner will own the club which in turn owns the stadium. ENIC won't take the stadium with them or lease it back to us or anything like that. Spurs own the stadium.

I think it's fair to say that ENIC have one eye very firmly on growing the value of the club and they will benefit hugely when they sell. But in terms of the stadium that is now "ours". Spurs fans can firmly argue that we have the best stadium in the country until somebody builds something better. I'm not trying to say that's worth a trophy or anything... just making the point that it's the TH stadium not the ENIC stadium.

The way the stadium was financed is just the way it's done I believe. Any idea that ENIC would pay for the stadium themselves and then gift it to Spurs is wide of the mark. It was ENIC who decided to spend Spurs' money on infrastructure ahead of players and it's understandable that a lot of fans don't like that.

Another point regarding the stadium is that the £1bn cost does not equate to us being able to spend £1bn on players in an alternate universe. The stadium was mainly financed through borrowing which is an avenue simply not available for player purchases. Again, ENIC will have made lots of money when they sell but that's only because the club will be in a better position.

No offense to anyone here, but I wouldn't want any of us lot making multi million pound decisions for spurs. And I include myself in that statement.

fuck it I had you down as the next chairman and me as chief exec with team picking rights - of course we would consult tSC for advice and on match days use the match threads for advice on tactics and subs though woe betide the player making a mistake as he would be immediately hooked and hung above the Park Lane goal as a punishment - if things started to go bad we could then exploit tickets come with free bar to maintain our popularity followed by selling Sissoko to the LA Raiders

in my plan we could use Trix as a dedicated Harry Winks coach

Sorry, you've got it all wrong - Hank will be our next Chair and CEO. JJ can be Director of Communications and A&C with Rob can do the coaching (can you imagine the punishments being dished out to players not performing!). Hercs - you're in charge of recruitment. However, I think you've got Trix's role spot on and we can ask Francis Gibbs to come out of retirement to fulfill a similar role with Lamela

The economics are simple, if Spurs had 10 million fans world wide who could buy an average of £100 total across the board, we would have half the valuation needed to purchase the shares at current rumoured price (£2 billion) so it’s really not that fair fetched of an idea in terms of pure economics. If the valuation is high, scale. But even an average of £200-300 isn’t far fetched.

I have seen some of the stupid stuff we on SC come up with and how we think we would run the club, for that I think this is a totally stupid idea and we shouldn't even be left to look after a pet on school holidays, let alone a say in how a football club is run! :X3:

I think people are missing the point. It’s about viewing football clubs as community institutions rather than 100% commercial businesses.

It’s not about Enic so much it’s more a safeguard against what comes next.

Eg the glazers try and buy your club in a leveraged buy out - do you want a representative of club members (eg the trust) to have a as veto on that?

Eg levy tries to move stadium to east London - do you want a say in that?

it’s not fans having a say in day to day operations just major decisions that impact the community and club members.

Whether this is the right solution or not it’s good to put pressure on government to do something to give fans more say in how clubs are run and recognise they are not just another business.

Profit stripping? Wtf is up with the hyperbolic title?

The only owners really profit strip are the Glazers.
