Interesting that the team for the game we lost looks stronger/more experienced on paper.

Agreed, defence and forwards looked better v Cercle Bruges, and I had thiought they would be the weaker team too !

Can only guess we atarted nervously or Cercle Bruges had a much older team out that we couldn't deal with.

Btw I think this was discussed before where someone said they were not. But according to Ray Lo Alex and Joe Pritchard are brothers

Alex was asked on twitter and said the surname was a co-incidence, so not sure Ray is correct - unless of course Alex was winding us up !.

Not conclusive I know, but Alex born in Essex, Joe in Watford.....

O'Brien does well to save a Ceballos shot, but the rebound is slotted home by Obika. (43 mins)

Dagenham & Redbridge ‏@Dag_RedFC
HT Daggers 0 Spurs 1. Obika with the only goal of the match, but the Daggers were very close to leveling things up before HT.

Mason looked really good in pre-season. Incisive forward passing and rarely lost possession. He was also surprisingly strong in the air. I think the talent is there but injuries are an issue. Bentaleb and Kane deserve to get plenty of games this year and I still think Pritchard is a talent but needs to mature mentally.

So a good day all round for the diff age groups. Seems bruge could be the only thorn in our side this weekend.

Not often we can boast 4 wins for Spurs before 5 pm ! (and that's excluding the wins for u16's !)

Really hope to see this as just the beginning/tip of the iceberg in terms of creating a club with a winning mentality from top to bottom. We've obviously got a ton of talent throughout the system and it's going to be exciting to see how the development of these youngsters goes given the great facilities at their disposal. Also, just like how we have apparently brought in Musa Yahaya, Ismail Azzaoui, etc. I'm sure the training ground has a huge pull and will allow for us to attract players who really could hold a lot of value someday.

Promising days, indeed.

Do we usually pull this many young internationals into our youth team (Yahaya, Azzaoui, Lazar, etc.) every year or is this something new?
