In a completely shocking turn of events, England are 17-2 in under 4 overs!

I like Crawley, I really do, but as opening batsman in the 4th over of a test match, with the ball swinging, that is fucking loose, pal

Looked like bat was involved in Lees LBW, not sure how the third umpire dismissed it so quickly...

Is this another series without ultra edge? or Snicko?

it's just not a surprise anymore. we are so, so bad.
It's strange though. Our batting lineup looks so much more solid without Anderson & Broad at 10 & 11. And this swing the West Indies bowlers are getting looks like it would really be a struggle for Anderson too.

we even had a swing bowler to use in Saqib, and still didn't even pick him. this whole England set up is just baffling.

In a world where nothing looks the same, thankyou England for bringing the familiarity of 30-3 on the first morning of a test match.

I feel just a little calmer now.

Heard Root this morning saying he was the right man for the job, he’d never do anything negative to affect the team blah blah blah

Our set up really is a shambles. No direction or leadership. Bunch of headless chickens & hot air

Reminds me so much of our current government!

Cricket doesn't usually piss me off but this 'reset' is so fucking half arsed it's beyond a joke and in what world is Root the 'right man' for the job. I don't care about 'but who else is there' because it's not fucking him.

There isn’t a hope in hell of Joe Root retaining the captaincy if England get embarrassed here.

I hope Anderson and Broad are pissing themselves over this. Couldn’t be more obvious that they were dropped because gentle Joe was afraid of their big personalities.

A lot of people seem to have gone very early on this. I’m away skiing and not watching so just popped in to give it a quick “Overton FFS” and then off for a Williams.

Ben Foakes is such a throwback batsmen. A quintessential red ball cricketer. I know he’s had his injuries but it’s a disgrace he’s only played 8 test matches in 4 years.
