Unless weather intervenes how many games are going to go 5 days anyway with the way we play now?

Watching Sky and Stokes ‘19, just seems so surreal seeing Warnie, still can’t believe he’s not about anymore

I was watching that and was really emotional seeing Warnie. I was always waiting to hear his opinion on anything and immediately accepted it as the authority on the matter.

A true hero and a massive loss. I hope they honour him in some way during the series.

Just watched “How to win the Ashes” on bbc iPlayer. Well worth a watch and really whet’s the appetite for the series starting tomorrow.

Our attack looks very samey and there's fuck all grass on the wicket from the pictures today! It just looks like we've not prepped / not taking it seriously enough. The Aussies seem pretty determined. But....I suppose Stokes and McCullum have got the results so far, so.....

you guys have got an extra yard of pace as shown against India last week, think that’ll be crucial.
It’s got a 2005 feel about it!

Spent the whole day watching the Ben stokes innings. Absolutley mega. But should have lost that test. Silly ozzies using their last review. And Lyon’s missing an absolute doozy of a stumping. Love The ashes.

The toss feels critical here. If it's a flat track then applying some scoreboard pressure after the first innings will be important.

I wouldn't like to be facing the Aussie attack if they have already posted
well over 400 runs.

I don't really understand why we've asked for hard/dry pitches when Australia have the pace and spin options and our best bowling options are seamers.

I guess we will find out soon enough if there's some special secret strategy to it. Win the toss and bat please.

Here we go!
