Told v quiet we are struggling to move players out and Daniel does not want to spend what we do not receive first which makes me think the maddison , vdv buys was the kane money

told most likely is another center half over a forward , they like orban and are monitoring but no more than 50/50 chance of a deal , center half more likely
Who would have thought leaving it to the last week of the window to shift, what, 7-8 players was going to prove problematic?!

Fucking amateur hour......

This is by far the most realistic ITK I’ve heard even if it’s partly opinion. The fact days go by and still nobody has left says it all really. Throwing large chunks at David just doesn’t sound like something we would be doing right now.

We'll all get angry at this, yet it is what most of us expected.

This would be negligent to the extreme.

I've been expecting this.
Was nailed on. Both are good signings but we should be able to do both of those without selling the crown jewels. This is exactly what I feared when we were selling Kane.

Best way we could back Ange would be to get rid of Enic and bring in a decent board that back him.

See you guys in the Enic out thread

I will certainly wait with a judgement of the transfer window until september as its not worth to be arsed before as god knows how accurate this info is.

Repeating myself, I think a striker with a goal scoring touch is an absolute must though, not depending on the outs. We need an alternative to Richy for injury problems and if he struggles to find the net.

Call me captain obvious, but we have tried to sell but clubs are either offering derisory fees, or the likes of Sanchez have refused deals.
We can neither force players to leave, nor force clubs to pay an acceptable price

Kinda hard when players don't want to leave and clubs not wanting other ones.

For the price of David, can probably get Orban and Williams. Makes more sense to do the latter, and Orban doesn’t need to be registered for this season so doesn’t impact registration.

Williams wouldn't need to be registered this season either.

When you’re buying what is effectively dead wood, you do it late in the window when you have more chance of driving the price down. Why does this continue to surprise people window after window?

Unfortunately the dross we are trying to get rid of is not a priority on many teams list so it's always going to be last week as they scramble. I know everyone thinks we're overvaluing but where's the evidence?

The evidence is year upon year of not being able to adequately shift players on either in a timely manner or producing a profit on sale.

Both of which are indicative of poor recruitment and by extension, poorly run clubs on the football side - see Man Utd also.

Everyone knows we are desperate to shift players on. Why move now when they will probably get a better deal in the last couple of days. We have got to make a judgement call on this and be prepared to cancel the contracts of the players with one year to go.
We cannot let Ange down and need to give him what he needs even if it costs more than first envisaged.

we are infinitely better now than 12 months ago - we were never going to sort it all this window..
We’ve sold 2 players for 120m…. We haven’t even spent that…. No one expects us to sort everything in one window but we could end up with a positive transfer spend the season we sell our talisman?
