Even though I think his future lies in midfield, he is more than capable at playing the RW role. Also he is in the 99th percentile for successful take-ons which is brilliant for an Ange winger.

As much as I love Kulu, on current form Kudus would easily usurp him.
Supremely talented player, and there's a reason why the brilliant Brighton scouting team have been trying so hard to convince him!

All that said though, if Kudus would look for us to give him that release clause aswell, then surely this is a non-starter?

I Think Brighton might see more and more players and agents do this.

I doubt Brighton would mind it at the right price. I guess for us if the release clause is at the right price it wouldn't be a problem. You'd think to hit the clause he'd have to have done well and sure Levy would love a quick profit.

What about players who don't want to leave? Ndombs? I'd rather have a player who is honest about his ambitions, who might put a shift in to achieve those ambitions.

Sounds like that's what Brighton said. The obvious counter is the clause lapses if the club makes CL themselves but either way I can't see our club touching the deal if that's his attitude.

Fair point mate but they wanted to sell them. I won't get into speculating the names of the 2 players here but I assume they are ones they might have to sell but would prefer not too and we have seen that movie before that's all I meant
